What’s All The Fuss? Why Brett Favre Will Return to the Minnesota Vikings In 2010

Are we seriously wasting our time on the Brett Favre saga in 2010?

Or is it just ESPN making it into a bigger scene in order to make more revenue for their brand?

Whatever the case may be, I am here to tell you that No. 4 will be a Minnesota Viking this upcoming year.

No, I don’t have any sources telling me that it is official, but it isn’t worth talking about for the next three months. All signs point to his return. Him working out at a high school in Mississippi is the first big step in his return to the Vikings.

We all know it is going to happen.

Brett Favre would not end his career the way it ended last season. Coming up short once again of another Super Bowl appearance only fuels the fire for Favre.

Many don’t like the selfish attitude that Favre has brought toward this Vikings team, which is understandable.

Though from the mind of Brad Childress, you just have to accept it.

Favre took a major beating in 2009, and the locker room had to prepare to begin mini-camps without their quarterback; thus, the speculation began.

I mean, every weapon returns next season for Favre.

Sidney Rice continues to emerge as a top receiver under his wing, and should have another top year in 2010. Bernard Berrian should be a solid secondary option and Visanthe Shiancoe will have another good year as the starting tight end.

Let’s not forget Adrian Peterson, the most talented running back in football today.

Whether the Vikings win the Super Bowl remains to be seen.

But there is one thing that’s for sure—there is no doubt in my mind that Brett Favre will be a Minnesota Viking in 2010.

Favre will be back. Too bad he’s still an egomaniac who will probably skip training camp.

  • Dave Tillman says:

Favre is coming off his best season as a pro. Of course he is coming back. My question is, will he play in 2011? The Vikins needs to give the ball more to Adrian Peterson in 2010.
