This is a tremendous match up this week. Honestly, if the season ended last week, I have a firm belief that people would get behind both teams as contenders in the playoffs…and although it is only the fourth week of the season, the game taking place between these two teams is important for both clubs.

The Jets need to roll into the Big Easy and prove they got the bite to match up the Bark of Bart Scott and the rest of the Jets’ tenacious defense. This will be Sanchez’ first NFL game in a dome - it will be important for him to show composure when he hear the roar of the crowd inside of the dome.

It is important for New Orleans to show that their defense can shut down Sanchez and the Jets’ offense. Just as it is important that the Saints’ offense is able to act like kryptonite to that super human Jets’ D. I believe the Saints crowd is going to be a huge factor in the outcome of the game. Just as the headcoach of the Jets’, Rex Ryan, called on the fans of the Jets to be loud and bolsterious during their week 2 showdown with the New England Patriots so must the Saints’ loyal supporters come support their team. And if you happen to stop by Bourbon Street on the way, make sure you get a hand grenade or a Hurricane from Pat O’Briens….I am sure that will make it all the easier to get a little rowdy at the game!

I think it is important for the running game of the Saints…aka..Pierre Thomas…to prove that his performance was not a fluke against the Buffalo Bills. Now…I do not expect him to run for over a hundred yards and get two touchdowns, but I would like him to take a little pressure off of Brees, so he can do his best to pick apart the Jet’s secondary.

I also want to see how Jeremy Shockey is going to deal with the tough linebackers of the Jets. Shockey has been on a tear this year and proving to critics across the land why the Saints traded a second round pick to the Giants for him. But he has not gone up against a linebacking core like the Jets have, led by David Harris and Bart Scott.

Lastly, I want to see Jonathon Vilma have a monster game against his former team, the team that traded him a way for a fourth round pick after they thought he would never be the same player on the grid iron again. Vilma was a steal for the Saints and I cannot wait for him to let out a can whop-ass on them Jets!!!

If the Saints and their fans show up…I am sensing a Saints victory on Sunday…close, but far enough away to give Mark Sanchez his first taste of defeat in the NFL…24-17 Saints WIN!

GO Saints!!!!
