Very Superstitious!!!!!!!!!!
Now I am not a superstitious person by nature. Friday the 13th is just another day, walking under a ladder is OK unless someone drops something on you, breaking a mirror does not bring seven years of bad luck and stepping on a crack does not break your mothers back.
This being said I have to wonder about the Texans and Battle Red Day. I have heard and read (as I am sure most of you have also) about athletes who wear the same clothes on game day or eat the same foods. How about a team that is 7-2 in one uniform but is 40-72 total in 7 seasons. With a winning percentage of only 13.57% overall but 77.77% on Battle Red Day it makes you wonder why they don’t wear those jerseys all of the time.
With the two loses on Battle Red Day both occurred in 2005 when the Texans managed to win only 2 games all season, you could almost argue that Battle Red Day is really a undefeated day for the Texans. Other than those two games the Texans have won on Battle Red day by a combined 195 points to 102 points. That’s pretty good for a team that does not have a winning season to their credit yet.
I do not know of another team that has that kind of win percentage in one uniform vs. all other uniforms. When the Texans get the Battle Red mojo working during the rest of the season they will be Super Bowl contenders. Let’s hope this is the year that the magic starts to rub off on the rest of the season.

As a Houston native I hope this is finally the year for the Texans. I own two battle red jerseys simply because i think they’re better than the blues, plus, as you’ve pointed out here, the texans actually win games in them!
Interesting Article for sure. I believe the Bengals are something like 9-1 when they wear their orange jerseys.
Hopefully this is Houston’s year. I really didn’t notice this until one day I looked up Battle Red Day and saw the numbers. Like I said, I’m not superstitious but…………….
