According to sources on NFL.com, the Jacksonville Jaguars are in extensive talks with the Kansas City Chiefs regarding backup QB Tyler Thigpen.
Thigpen, who is entering is third year, was drafted in the seventh round in 2007 and saw a large amount of playing time last season.
Racking up over 2,600 yards and 18 TD's, Thigpen was considered to be in the competition for the Chiefs starting job until they traded for Matt Cassel.
The Jaguars are looking for depth at the quarterback position, as there do not seem to be any real reliable options after Garrard.
As of right now, Todd Bouman and Paul Smith are the backups to Garrard.
Bouman is the more experienced of the two, but has not seen any meaningful gameplay since the 2005-06 season when he was with the New Orleans [...]

In a professional sports league like the NFL, many of the prospects out of college come from large name universities. Such universities that continuously pop up on NFL rosters include USC, Florida, Florida State, Auburn, Georgia, Penn State, and so on and so on.
While there are plenty of talented players on the Jacksonville Jaguars roster from these large and highly recruited schools, there are also plenty of small school players that have made large impacts in the past few seasons, and will make large impacts on seasons to come.
The best, and obvious most talented small school player on the Jaguars is Rashean Mathis.
