Happy offseason, Rams' fans! It couldn't have come sooner than it has, with the Rams dragging to a 1-15 finish after losing their final game to the San Francisco 49ers, who finished 8-8 and second in the NFC West. Today, I would like to identify some big needs for the Rams this offseason. Obviously, a 1-15 team is going to have lots of needs, but I'm going to try and nail down some of the bigger ones needed for the Rams to be at least a bit more successful in the upcoming 2010 season. Today, I'm going simply identify the needs. In a future post, I will address the solution to those needs. These are in no particular order.
1. Quarterback
Obviously, the Rams did not have the most productive season in regards to the man behind center. Marc Bulger (when he wasn't hurt) [...]

In my first installment of my 2010 NFL Mock draft I received a lot of comments with people speaking out about two or three of my picks. Mainly Tim Tebow going sixth to the Seattle Seahawks, Gerald McCoy 12th to the Miami Dolphins and Jahvid Best 21st to the New York Jets.
So far no new big names have thrown their name into the 2010 draft pool. However I would like to point out that UW quarterback Jake Locker IS NOT going to be in the 2010 mock draft. I have seen at least five or more mock drafts in the last few days with Locker still in them.
So with that being said [...]

The time has come where we transition from one season into two different seasons. The playoffs and post season and the off season aka looking ahead to the 2010 NFL draft.
So far Cal running back Jahvid Best, Tennessee safety Eric Berry, Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford, Notre Dame QB Jimmy Clausen and other projected first round picks have already declared for the 2010 Draft.
So with that being said my first mock draft of 2010 is here. My mock draft order follows the offical order.
1) St Louis Rams: Ndamukong Suh, DT Nebraska
Examination: Well the [...]

The Colts had this game right from the start. It was just an easy game. Although the Titans were on a five-game winning-streak, and looking dangerous, the Colts were on a eleven-game winning-streak, and counting, as they move on to 12-0.
Joseph Addai played well, scoring the team’s first touchdown, and having another one, along with 79 yards.
Peyton Manning threw for 270 yards along with a touchdown. Vince Young played well, and was looking to for a win after playing his best game of his career just last week against the Arizona Cardinals. He passed for 241 yards with two touchdowns and one pick.
The Titans had a lot of chances to win this game. They had wasted opportunities in the red zone, and the score should have been much tighter. Nate Washington had a chance to put up a [...]

....ummm...a win is a win...that is about it. Lets start with who stood out in week 10.
Running back Reggie Bush had his best game this season, which is great because the way other running backs Pierre Thomas and Mike Bell played, it was imperative Bush stepped up and made plays for the Saints offense. Bush only carried the ball six times but amounted 83 yards and scored once. He also had 2 catches for 15 yards and another score, finishing the day with two touchdowns as well as two punt returns for 5 yards. In total Reggie touched the ball 10 times in the game and got 103 total yards - just slightly over 10 yards per touch. Great numbers, as the games keep coming it will be crucial to keep exploring ways to utilize Bush's talents on the grid iron. As he showed against the Rams this [...]

The Colts will be facing, well, a not so tough team. I am hoping
this may be the easiest game of the season as the Indy will travel to
St. Louis to play the Rams.
The Colts have been playing well against NFC West opponents,
outscoring them 65-27. Trust me, it’s a real easy win here. The Colts
are also playing a real bad defense of St. Louis. If you have seen my
recent power rankings to the sidebar of my blog at
dhanisports.wordpress.com, you’ll see that the Rams are at 29.
They aren’t all that bad. The Colts are going to have to get tough
on the run, though, as Steven Jackson is literally just a monster,
running for 500 yards already as he is pretty much the Rams’ offense.
But I think the Colts can stop them. But back to my point of the
Rams’ [...]

And there goes Ronnie Brown for a three-yard touchdown run! The Dolphins are up, 20-13. Brown has been looking swell against this Colts' shaky defense right now. Oh, but here comes rookie running back Donald Brown, as he breaks away for a 15-yard touchdown, his first of the season and his career!
With 3:50 left in the game, Dolphins' Dan Carpenter has now hit a 45-yard field goal which may seal the deal for Miami as they lead, 23-20. Here goes the Colts, who have been completely dominated by the Fins in the time of possession and it is right now not looking good, not at all.
Peyton Manning takes the snap, drops back, finds Pierrre Garcon at the screen. And look, here he goes! To the twenty, to the ten, to the five, touchdown Colts! With 3:18 left, I don't think [...]

Some news items to get through today, stories courtesy of STLToday.com.
OLs Jason Smith and Jason Brown both have sprained knees. Brown is day-to-day and is expected to practice tomorrow and play on Sunday. Smith will miss one or two games with a more severe sprain. Adam Goldberg will step into his place, and as you saw on Sunday, he is more than capable.
The Derek Stanley experiment is over. The Rams have cut him [...]

The Indianapolis Colts have showed signs of hope and some major improvement after Sunday's 14-12 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Colts defense played strong in the victory. Peyton Manning had a solid performance, going 28-of-38 for 301 passing yards with one touchdown and one interception.
Manning played strong and was showing [...]
