After spraining a ligament in his knee, Mark Sanchez is oficially benched for Sunday's game against the Bucs.
Kellen Clemens will not even make the trip to Tampa
Ryan said about benching Sanchez “It’s just not going to be this week. I have a lot of confidence in Kellen Clemens and I think that instead of delaying this decision, I’m just going to make it now.” Sanchez was not a happy camper about being benched as Ryan said "He's mad as a hornet at me."
To me this is a great decision, why risk a much worse injury against the Bucs. This will give an oppurtunity for Sanchez to sit out a week, let the knee heal, and come back fresh for next game vs. the Falcons.
