As fans get amped in the final countdown to the 2010 draft it’s no stretch to imagine the Kansas City front office looking to the quarterback class of 2011. The recent trade of Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb to the Washington Redskins has removed the “untouchable” label from so-called “franchise quarterbacks.” McNabb gave Philadelphia 11 seasons with five NFC championship appearances and one Super Bowl game.  If that’s a resume that screams the need to trade a team leader away, many starting quarterbacks in the NFL have to question their job security. When I was searching the internet I saw breaking news about Steve McNair. It said he was shot to death in a double homicide. I know I’m a Chicago Bears writer, but I grew up watching him and really admired his skills. I couldn’t believe it was true, I was very very sad. Not only was McNair a great player for the Oilers, Titans and Ravens for 11 seasons, but he was also a great person. It’s a very sad day in the NFL.
