Perry Fewell

The Giants have made some good changes on the defensive side of the ball this off season.  Bill Sheridan the first year defensive coordinator, and Mike Wauffle, the six year defensive line coach were let go. Perry Fewell comes in to light a spark under guys like Barry Cofield, Aaron Ross, Michael Johnson, and Osi Umenyiora to name a few. I want one more change... I want Aaron Kampman to play for the New York Giants. This guy is perfect for Big Blue.   Kampman has excelled as a defensive end in the 4-3 system for 8 years.  Only recently as 2009 was he switched to linebacker; however, the move hurt Kampman & The Packers. Even though he was getting better as a stand up backer, he often looked uncomfortable in coverage.  Kampman will always be better with his hand in the [...] Continue reading →
The Buffalo Bills visited the Kansas City Chiefs this past Sunday and escaped with a victory improving their record to 5-8 overall and 2-1 under new head coach Perry Fewell. Needless to say, a win is a win but it wasn't pretty. Coming into the game, the Chiefs only had three wins themselves so we can say very comfortably that this game wasn't going to be a potential postseason game or [...] Continue reading →
The Bills squish the fish, the Bills squish the fish! I cannot stop saying that phrase. Of course, this phrase was coined back in the 90's when Dan Marino was the QB of the Dolphins and Jim Kelly was the QB for the Bills. None the less, it happened again this past weekend. Despite the Bills entering the game at 0-1 under new head coach Perry Fewell, I have to say this was not the same team as the previous week. This team looked charged on both sides of the ball and everyone did their part to share a win in Western New York. Another bright spot along with Coach Fewell was starting QB Ryan Fitzpatrick. Although Fitzpatrick did not have stellar stats, he looked confident with his offense. Confidence is something Trent Edwards never found this season while attempting to lead the team. First time head coach Perry Fewell led his Buffalo Bills and new starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick on to the field Sunday afternoon to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars. Putting up somewhat of an impressive fight, the Bills managed to almost win in Fewell's first game as interim head coach. Overall, I did see signs of improvement on the offensive side of the ball that I have not seen in the [...] Continue reading →
As of 3:00 this afternoon the Bills have fired Head Coach Dick Jauron after a 3-6 record this season. Defensive coordinator Perry Fewell will likely take over as interim head coach throughout the remainder of the season. This comes as no surprise to Bills fans or NFLtouchdown.com readers. Throughout this season the Bills have done nothing offensively. You may also recall that the Bills and Jauron fired their offensive coordinator before the season even began. This was a move that came with high [...] Continue reading →
