With the 2010 season quickly approaching us, the Jaguars have some positions that are yet to have a solidified starter.
Starting with the most obvious on the team, the safety position.
Neither safety position has had a player step into the postion as the obvious starter. There are four guys competiting for theses jobs that all seem to be relatively even at this point.
Reggie Nelson, Sean Considine, Gerald Alexander, and Anthony Smith are four mediocre safeties that have not proved that they can stop some of the better passers in the league.
Peyton Manning fooled with them, and Tom Brady made them look like they didn't deserve to be in the NFL.
Reggie Nelson looked promising after his rookie year, but has since had a tremendous downfall thanks to his horrible wrap-up [...]

After a disappointing end to a 7-5 start, last season showed some promise for a very young, inexperienced team.
Going into the offseason, it was clear that some positions needed a tremendous amount of help, while others looked set already for next season
Here is a look at the new faces on the Jaguars heading into the 2010-2011 NFL season:
Veterans
WR Kassim Osgood - Osgood comes in as possibly the best special teams player in the league. Signed to a 3 year/$6 million deal, Osgood will be featured much more in the passing game in Jacksonville compared to the amount used in San Diego. Osgood is 6'5", and could become a reliable option for Garrard this season.
DE Aaron Kampman - Probably the biggest [...]

Dallas hasn't officially starting the training camp, but voluntary OTAs (Organized Team Activities) are going on, and mini-camp will be coming along.
For starters, we have a serious injury to second-string cornerback, Orlando Scandrick, who "shattered" his finger on the 26th of May. The injury is indefinite for now. Scandrick believes he isn't going to be catching balls until training camp starts in late July.
He was breaking up a pass intended for wide receiver Manuel Johnson, a seventh round pick from last year, and his hand immediately went numb, but it was a while later before he truly realized how serious the injury was. He had surgery soon after and the pin that was inserted into finger isn't going to be taken out for a while.
There has been no news about Keith Brooking's [...]

Bears middle linebacker Brian Urlacher has a good relationship with head coach Lovie Smith and he doesn’t want him to go anywhere, here’s what he had to say about Smith possibly being fired:
“We didn’t have a lot to be happy about, but it wasn’t somber. It wasn’t like it was our last meeting with Coach Smith or anything like that. I didn’t get that feeling.
“(The season) sucked, but two wins in a row was the best we could do with our situation.”
“I’m 1 million percent behind Coach Smith, what happened the last couple of years is not on him. There are not a [...]

According to ESPN.com, the Jaguars and their first round pick from the 2009 NFL draft have agreed to terms.
Eugene Monroe, selected eighth overall, adds another talented player to the Jaguars' offensive line. Out of Virginia, Monroe is said to be a very talented pass-blocker, and one who needs a little bit of work with his run-blocking.
At 6'5" and over 300 lbs, Monroe adds great size and youth to a revamped offensive line from a year ago.
According to the report, the deal should be similar but worth a little bit more than what ninth overall pick, B.J. Raji, received from the Green Bay Packers. Raji signed at 5-year, $28.5 million with $18 million guaranteed.
Monroe can now report to practice, and could see game time in all four of the [...]

First, I am excited to be a new writer for NFLTouchdown.Com for all things Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Now, Let's get to it! I am a generally optimistic person, however, when it comes to sports it doesn't take much to turn me into a perenial pessimist. This offseason for the Buc's has spured on a rush of dispair, hopeless outlooks and negative thoughts about the 2009 season and beyond.
We all need to be on the same page so let's review the offseason changes, additions and 'omissions' to our beloved franchise.
Coaching / Management Changes (notable):
Out: Jon Gruden, Monte Kiffin (DC),Bill Muir (OC/OLine), Bruce Allen (GM)
In: Raheem Morris (promoted from DB Coach), Jim Bates (DC), Jeff Jagodzinski (OC), Mark [...]
