Sources say that the New York Giants are ready to offer unrestricted free agent, Julius Peppers 100 million dollars for seven years, including a hefty signing bonus. It has been noted that Peppers and his camp will field a minimum of seven offers by week's end.
One year after the Giants were spurned by free agent DT Albert Haynesworth after offering 80 million to come play with Big Blue, the Giants have stepped up their pursuit of a game changing defensive superstar.
On January 16, 2009, Peppers spoke very candidly about not re-signing with the Carolina Panthers. He also expressed the desire or willingness to convert from a defensive end to outside linebacker to fit a 4/3 scheme.

Is a "change of pace" backfield overrated?
Not in today's NFL. Some say "running back by committee." I say offensive game plan by design! The NY Giants are in company with San Diego, Minnesota, Tennessee, the New York Jets, the Ravens, and the Miami Dolphins to name a few teams that rotate very good backs.
But what happens when the staple of your franchise hits the skids? That's what happened during the 2009 football season for the New York Giants. There once powerful running game turned up a bit lame. Could it be injuries or the O-line wear n' tear? Only the football gods may know the truth; however, do the Giants have what it takes to run inside and outside the tackles? I am not convinced that Jacobs and Bradshaw are the right mix for success in 2010.
History does [...]

In 1986, the New York Giants drafted linebacker Thomas Johnson in the second round from Ohio State. Thomas, better known as "Pepper" Johnson, was notorious for putting black pepper on his breakfast cereal.
The name stuck with him his whole life.
Johnson was a damn good player. A two time pro bowl linebacker who loved to hit you in the mouth, while filling a hole. He was big, nasty, and athletic. He played seven great seasons for the Giants and was a member of both the Super Bowl XXI and Super Bowl XXV [...]

Has anyone taken the time to appreciate Eli Manning this year?
Sure, No. 10 is flying below the radar, and I'm sure everyone likes it that way, but we should at least muster up a round of applause or a pat on the back for Mr. Eli Manning.
Yes, it's not over...but what an impressive campaign to date!
What do Nicks, Boss, Manningham, Smith, Hixon, Hagan, Bradshaw, Beckum, Jacobs, and Pascoe all have in common?
They all caught passes from Eli Manning in the thumping of the Washington Redskins on Monday Night Football. That's nine different receivers!
Yes, Eli Manning is having a career year, and his grasp of this offense and his personnel have matured through spreading the ball around.
Eli currently has career highs in completion percentage and yards per attempt, and by [...]

Two weeks ago, the Philadelphia Eagles appeared to be a football team who struggled to balance out the play calling on offense--especially when it came to running the ball.
After Sunday's 40-17 win over the New York Giants, the Eagles look like a completely different team and it may have something to do with the play calling.
Eagles head coach Andy Reid has been criticized at [...]

With the way the Washington Redskins have performed this season, one would think the Philadelphia Eagles would have no trouble leaving FedEx Field with a victory on Monday Night Football.
After last week's loss to the Oakland Raiders, the Eagles realize they need to take this Redskins' team serious to avoid a second straight loss--especially with the success the Skins have against them the last two seasons.
Monday night's matchup consists of two teams looking to avoid ending the week at the [...]

The NFC East is, arguably, the most vicious division in the history of the National Football League. The same can be argued about the division right now.
In the past two years, every team in this division has been to the playoffs. The Giants won the Super Bowl against the Patriots, the Eagles went to the NFC Championship game last year, and the Giants were the number one seed in the NFC.
However, some instances in free agency has led to the weakening of teams in that division.
The [...]
