Disclaimer: Usually journalist and especially good journalist don’t usually use “I” in articles and recently I’ve been trying to improve on that and just stick with reporting. However I’ve decided to try a little experiment and create a new series of articles titled “In my opinion” which will include players, coaches and other aspects of the NFL an give my opinion on those topics. So articles titled “In my opinion” will be the only time I use “I” in an article, but when it comes to reporting on the Seahawks and the draft, “I” won’t be included. Just needed to clear that with this [...]

Trade
According to ESPN's John Clayton and Adam Schefter the Seattle Seahawks have completed a trade that will send Seahawks backup quarterback to the Cleveland Browns for an undisclosed 2011 draft pick. With the acquisition of Wallace, he gets the opportunity to reunite with former head coach Mike Holmgren in Cleveland and possibly get the chance to be a full time starting quarterback in the NFL.
Wallace now joins Derek Anderson and Brady Quinn as the three quarterbacks in Cleveland. However with Mike Holmgren being the man in charge it's been rumored recently that Anderson will be cut in the coming weeks and Brady Quinn could either be [...]

There are many rumors and opinions about who will be the starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns in 2010, but so far nothings changed. Brady Quinn, Derek Anderson and Brett Ratliff are still on the Browns roster as day two of the trading period and free agency winds down.
So far Mike Holmgren has remained tight lipped about who he's interested in. Names thrown around by the media the last two days include Seneca Wallace, Matt Flynn, Kevin Kolb, Donavon McNabb, and David Carr.
Getting Kolb or McNabb from the Eagles would come at a steep price. If Holmgren is convinced either QB would greatly improve the Browns offense, then he would be wise to make the deal. Cleveland has spent its share of millions over the last decade looking for a franchise QB. Putting that search to bed [...]

In a move that is hard to figure, the Cleveland Browns released veteran offensive lineman Hank Fraley today. Fraley had spent the last four years with the Browns after playing six years with the Philadelphia Eagles.
After being replaced at center by last year's first round pick Alex Mack, Fraley filled in at both guard and center for the Browns and even playing tight end on occasion. It seems experience and versatility are not as important as it used to be. Even if he no longer figured in the Browns plans as a starter, Fraley could have been a very valuable backup.
Could Cleveland be clearing the way for the up coming free agency and trading period that begins at 12:01 am March 5. It would seem very probable that the Browns will be either signing or trading for a player to take [...]

The Cleveland Browns need to find a quarterback. This is not news to anyone who has followed the Browns for the last decade. Tim couch, Kelly Holcomb, Jeff Garcia, Luke McCown, Trent Dilfer, Charlie Frye, Derek Anderson and Brady Quinn have each taken their turn during that time. Now with Mike Holmgren calling the shots for the Browns organization, who will be the next in line to play QB for the Browns?
Unless Cleveland is able to make a deal for a veteran signal caller, Brady Quinn will probably be given another chance. Anderson is due a two million dollar roster bonus and will probably be released in a few days. Holmgren has said very little about Quinn and that could mean he's studying his options via trade or free agency. It's my guess that Quinn will be given another year to [...]

The Cleveland Browns and Josh Cribbs are getting closer to a new deal that will satisfy both parties. The Browns have said Cribbs role on offense will be increased. Maybe to justify the extra money they will be paying for his services. In today's era of me first players who only care about their stats, Josh Cribbs is a total team player. If any player deserves a raise, he does. As for his role, he'll do whatever it takes to help the team.
I have called for Cribbs to get the ball more ever since he joined the Browns. On a team that has struggled mightily on offense, it's hard to figure out why their most explosive player doesn't get the ball more. A few carries from the Wildcat isn't enough.
At wide receiver, Cribbs was learning a new position while Cleveland was struggling to find [...]

In my second installment of my 2010 NFL Mock Draft I received some comments from outspoken Redskins and Lions fans discussing their opinion on my selections of a quarterback and offensive tackle respectively.
Well now that the Senior Bowl has come and gone that has only a very slight effect on the third edition of my mock draft. So with that being said here is the third edition of my 2010 NFL Mock Draft. Click here for my first and [...]

Mike Holmgren continues to rebuild the Cleveland Browns front office with his guys. The hiring of 66 year old Gil Haskell, who will serve as an adviser to Holmgren, could mean a lot more.
In Holmgren's 17 years as a head coach in the NFL, Haskell was one of his assistants for 15 of those years, including the offensive coordinator when Holmgren was in Seattle. Could he be an in house replacement for Brian Daboll, should the Browns offense struggle?
It is a strong possibility that Cleveland will run a West Coast offense this year. Neither Eric Mangini or Daboll has any experience with the West Coast. Having both Holmgren and Haskell to bounce questions off of as well as evaluating the talent needed, can't hurt.
Finding the right quarterback to lead the offense is the first step [...]

All is quiet out of Berea regarding the Browns quarterbacks. Mike Holmgren had said a few weeks ago, he hadn't had time to evaluate the current Cleveland quarterbacks. With reports about the Browns having talks with the Eagles, Holmgren's evaluations must be over.
With all three Eagle QBs in the last year of their contracts, could Cleveland be interested in one of them? With new GM Tom Heckert coming over from Philadelphia, and having drafted Kevin Kolb, I'd say there is a pretty good chance the Browns are at least seeing what the asking price may be.
Kolb was selected by the Eagles in the 2nd round of the 2007 draft, the same year Cleveland took Brady Quinn with the 22nd pick in the first round. While Quinn has struggled through injuries and inconsistency in his short career, Kolb [...]

This is the time of year when all loyal Browns fans are gearing up for free agency and checking out every mock draft they can find. Since Cleveland's season has once again has come to an end with no playoff appearance, we Browns fans can only hope for a better "next year".
The offense in Cleveland will probably be getting a lot of attention this off season. Quarterback, wide receiver, right tackle and tight end are positions the Browns will be looking to upgrade. Defensively, cornerback and safety are two huge needs. With Mike Holmgren being an offensive guru, he will probably be drafting heavily on that side of the ball. I have a solution.
Eric Mangini has hinted in the past at trying Josh Cribbs at safety. I liked the idea then and I still do. Hey if Mike Furrey can do it, I'm [...]
