Ever have one of those epiphanies that's just so radical you spend the first few days in a soft state of shock, waiting for the new truth to be disproved and for your world to restore its familiar order? After meeting with Commissioner Roger Goodell on Thursday, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick will be eligible to play during Week Three of the 2009 season.
Vick was originally going to have to wait until Week Six but Goodell decided to move up the date not because of his performance on the field, but because of his actions off the field.
As far as the Eagles are concerned, this could have a major impact as far as trimming their roster down. The team has to decide by 6 p.m. on Saturday who will be part of their 53-man roster.
It should be interesting to see what the Eagles decide to do with Vick and whether or not they decide to keep [...]

The city of Philadelphia has not seen this much attention in the media since their divorce with former wide receiver Terrell Owens.
Thursday night was supposed to be a calm, relaxing night in the city of Brotherly Love. The Philadelphia Eagles were going to officially kickoff their preseason by hosting the New England Patriots at Lincoln Financial Field.
Considering it was preseason, the only importance of this game seemed to be how Patriots quarterback Tom Brady would play after missing the 2008 season with an ACL injury.
