The Bears won an ugly one yesterday against the pathetic St. Louis Rams and most importantly snapped a four game losing streak.
The Bears rushed the ball 38 times, with Matt Forte averaging 3.8 ypc on 24 carries for 91 yards and a touchdown. Kahlil Bell added 35 yards on 11 carries. Earl Bennett and Devin Hester both had huge catches early in this game. Bennett with a 71 yard catch and run and Hester with a 48 yard catch and run.
Some other stuff that happened:
Johnny Knox was super on [...]

Garrett Wolfe, a third round pick in 2007 out of Northern Illinois has landed on the injured reserve for the second straight season.
Wolfe suffered a lacerated kidney in the November 8th blowout against the Cardinals. Wolfe had 22 carries for 120 yards and a touchdown so far this season, averaging 15 yards per carry. He also had nine special team tackles in the eight games he appeared. Wolfe had 21 tackles on special teams last season and was a real leader on the unit.
With the loss of Wolfe, Adrian Peterson will see a lot more work on special teams and maybe a carry here and there.
Look for the Bears too try [...]

The Bears are looking to add another running back to replace the injured Garrett Wolfe, who is a special teams contributor and running back. Wolfe is expected to be out for 2-4 weeks, with his kidney problems.
No, the Bears aren’t looking to add a distraction in Larry Johnson, who was recently released by the Chiefs, but their looking for someone who can help out on special teams.
Maurice Hicks might be that guy. The Bears brought him in for physical, but the Bears didn’t sign him because this week is so short.
Hicks is a 31 year old running back, who was actually signed by the Bears in 2002 out of North Carolina A&T, but stuck with the 49ers for most of his career. He played for Minnesota last year. Hicks will take the role of Wolfe on special
teams, but don’t [...]

Here are the week seven Bears power rankings from various sites around the web:

#10 (Last week: 12)
Analysis, “Red zone problems killed them in a loss to Atlanta.”
CBS:
#11 (Last week: 9)
Analysis, “The biggest issue is their lack of a running game. What has happened? Matt Forte has been a fantasy football disaster, if that type of thing matters to you.”
Yahoo Sports: [...]

The Bears lost 21-14 last night to the Atlanta Falcons and you would think the Falcons played great ball, but they didn’t.
The Bears had a lot of good drives in this game, but had way too many red zone mistakes. Jay Cutler was 2/9 throwing a touchdown and an interception in the red zone. Matt Forte had back to back fumbles at the one yard line, the first one the Bears got back, but the next one the Falcons recovered. The final drive in the game, on a fourth and one, veteran Orlando [...]

Alright, that's enough.
If you're still hungover from the Detroit Lions' victory over the Washington Redskins, grab some coffee.
We're getting back to business. There are 13 more weeks of football to be played, so pay attention.
The Lions played a good game last week, but it was full of holes. Even the most dominant win leaves room for improvement, and while strong, the Lions were not quite dominant, no matter what I may say.
So what lessons from their victory over the Redskins can the Lions use against Jay Cutler and the Chicago Bears?
1. Keep Matt Forte Down
One of the most disappointing feature backs in football this year is Matt [...]

Could it be that the Bears running back Matt Forte is having a sophomore slump?
Maybe… Maybe not.
It could be the offensive line’s fault or Matt Forte’s fault. Maybe Forte is just not running hard enough. I think it is a mixture of both.
The Bears have three new starters on the offensive line, left tackle Orlando Pace, left guard Frank Omiyale and right tackle Chris Williams. Right guard Roberto Garza and center Olin Kreutz are returning starters from last year. Pace, Williams and Kreutz have played very well so [...]

Some say the hardest part about transitioning from Saturdays to Sundays, is the speed and pace of the game changes. For some however, this is a relatively easy change as it has been for the [...]

The Bears take on the Seattle Seahawks for the first time since 2007, when they travel to Qwest Field for a 4:05 ET affair. Of course we all know about the QB situation in Seattle, Matt Hasselback might be able to go and if not Seneca Wallace will go.
Hasselback could beat you with his arm and Wallace could beat you with your legs. Last week when QB Seneca Wallace came into the game for the injured Matt Hasselback he immediately threw a one yard touchdown pass. The Seahawk possessions after that were punt, punt, INT, punt, turnover on downs, game over.

The schedule of an NFL team can speak volumes of how great they truly are. Then again, it can also prove how weak and pathetic they are. In 2008, the Minnesota Vikings had one of the toughest schedules in the NFL and finished with a strong 10-6 record.
All the same, a weak record to an NFL team can mean an easier road to destiny. In 2009, the Minnesota Vikings have among the easiest schedules in the NFL. With only six teams (seven games) of their seventeen game schedule had winning records in 2008.
With that said, Minnesota could see an easier road, yet may see some of the biggest teams in the NFL all the same.
5. Week Fifteen: Minnesota Vikings at Carolina Panthers
In 2008, the Carolina Panthers road into the Metrodome riding a 2-0 record [...]
