The Dallas Cowboys have really come off to a slow start this year. If you could cut out some of their mistakes, they would be 5-0 instead of 3-2.
However, we cannot change the past, but we can learn from it.
What did Dallas learn from its past?
First off, they signed Allen Rossum, the 49ers punt and kick returner, to help improve plays on special teams. With Patrick Crayton muffing punts, and Terence Newman being injury-prone, the Cowboys needed a genuine return man to help in that third part of the game.
Helpful additions are only part of the equation. Dallas needs to be able to correct the flaws it makes with [...]

How tough is our DeMarcus Ware?
Very tough considering what was revealed just today. Ware, who was the league leader in sacks last year, has a stress fracture in his left foot according to an MRI test result.
It definitely sheds light as to why DeMarcus Ware has only two sacks this season, both of which came from the Kansas City victory two weeks ago.
Ware said his foot has been bothering him for a few weeks, which is really a blow to me because he kept playing.
It raises the question of how many sacks would he have if he was healthy?
Marion Barber also has a fractured left thumb from the game against Kansas City.
He originally thought he just jammed it in the game, but after the swelling came down and an X-Ray was taken, it was revealed that he actually broke his thumb.
How tough [...]

The Dallas Cowboys used to have three running backs that, I felt, were capable of starting on other NFL teams and could take 20+ carries a game.
However, Felix Jones is looking to be injury prone, which is heartbreaking, considering he could have won the Offensive Rookie of the Year last year and the lack of him on the field is easily noticed.
The Cowboys, without him. had to rely on Marion Barber, who was still nursing a quad injury, and Tashard Choice at Invesco Field at Mile High in Denver. The lack of a third running back to help with the oxygen [...]

Running back Felix Jones has sprained his PCL (posterior cruciate ligament) and it is unknown whether or not he will play in week 4 against the Broncos.
He sprained it on a long run that led to a 1st and goal for the Cowboys. He was the starter originally because Marion Barber was held out for a quad injury.
Marion Barber should be back in time for the Broncos game though. Wade Phillips, the head coach, is unsure but optimistic about it. He actually wanted to play against the Panthers, but the Cowboys management held him out at their insistence.
Felix Jones, however, is going to take it easy for a little [...]

It is almost here.
Like the little kid watching the clock tick slowly to midnight on Christmas Eve, I have been counting the days till the football season started.
And it is finally here!
Finally, enough of the monotonous offseason and on to the real stuff. The excitement of getting the popcorn and soda ready for the game. The great feeling you get after a win, and the "Aw, shucks!" after a loss.
We are almost in the 2009 season of the National Football [...]

The Dallas Cowboys have been making a lot of headlines these past few weeks. Here is a chronological overview of the news from Valley Ranch, along with quick, to-the-point reaction? You’ll notice that most of the stories – especially those toward the middle and end – are like a slab of ribs: juicy in appearance until you pick them up and realize that there is actually very little meat on each bone.
