The Saints WON!
What a game!!!
That first quarter was scary if you were a Saints fan and even going into half time with the score 6-10. But the Saints have been down before and came to win 31-17. One of the most impressive numbers is the fact that the Saints' defense held the Colts' offense to 17 points. The tenacious Jets defense could not even do that, and what is really impressive is that the Saints had a similar game to the one they played against the Vikings in the NFC Championship game. This is getting crazy. The New England Patriots will play their seventh undefeated opponent of the season when they visit the 10-0 New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football. The Patriots started the season playing the 0-0 Buffalo Bills, 1-0 New York Jets, 2-0 Atlanta Falcons, 3-0 Baltimore Ravens, and 4-0 Denver Broncos. Of course, they played the 8-0 Indianapolis Colts in Week 10 on Sunday Night Football. The 1SKILLZ Gameplan will be released later in the week, but for now I wanted to focus on comparing the Saints' #1 scoring offense this season with that of the 2007 New England Patriots. That Patriots team scored an NFL record 589 points while going 16-0 in the regular season before losing Super Bowl XLII to the New York Giants 17-14.

The Saints stay undefeated...YaHOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Completely pushing the New York Giants around this past Sunday in the Super Dome 48-27. The Saints (5-0) used their bye week from week 5 and had an excellent game plan prepared to make a Giants team - thought to be one of the contenders in the whole NFL, appear to be pretenders against the Saints. The Saints were running on full cylinder and now should start to receive more of the spotlight when the talk swings to legitimate title contenders.
Lets get right into the Star Studded Saints from Week 6...

Time for the new PT Cruiser...I mean Bruiser to make his debut. At the start if the '09-'10 season I am sure the Saints did not imagine their number one rusher to be third string runningback Mike Bell. There were high expectations for Pierre Thomas this season...to the dismay of my fantasy football team amongst others (ie the coaching staff and players of the Saints)...he has been limited (vast understatement) this season, amounting to a single catch for negative 4 yards. With the shockingly impressive Mike Bell sidelined this weekend, it will be up to Thomas to prove to a whole lot of people outside of my fantasy league that all the hype he recieved during the offseason is more than hype...that he is a legitimate number one running back in the NFL, able to take the pounding, and produce [...]
