With the Seahawks 2009 season officially over I decided to take a look back and see who stepped up on offense and defense. More importantly who were the MVP's on offense and defense this past season. I had a short list consisting of TJ Houshmandzadeh, Nate Burleson, Justin Forsett, Matt Hasselbeck and John Carlson.
In the end it came down to Forsett and Carlson with John Carlson receiving my vote as the 2009 Seattle Seahawks offensive MVP.

The title fits perfectly with the play of the Seattle Seahawks today. Seahawks lose 24/7 all day long, and it's headlined by the "Matt Hasselbeck Show".
Over the last few weeks, Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck has looked worse than any quarterback in Seahawks history with his inaccuracy, inconsistency and just downright horrendous play.
In the last three weeks including today's game against the Tampa Bay Bucs Hasselbeck is 101/115 for 701 yards, 4 TD's and 5 Int's (four today).

Just another Jim Mora Jr. press conference rant after their 34-7 loss to the Houston Texans. The loss takes Seattle out of playoff contention and the way this team has played this season they don't deserve to be listed in playoff contention and today was a good wake up call.
Now I have been supporting Mora in Seattle up until this season. Former Seahawks GM Tim Ruskell brought in Mora two years ago as the secondary coach and assistant head coach. In his first season the Seahawks secondary was amongst the best in the league and even though last year was a little step back they played very well.
