The rivalry of the decade between the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts continues tonight on Sunday Night Football at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN. The Patriots come in with a 6-2 record and in first place in the AFC East, holding a two game lead on the New York Jets after defeating the Miami Dolphins 27-17. The Colts are undefeated at 8-0, having beaten the Houston Texans 23-20 to give them a three game lead in their division. This is the Patriots' sixth game of the season against an undefeated team, and the most significant AFC game since their 20-17 overtime loss to the Broncos at Denver. While this would be their biggest win of the season, a loss (and a Jets win vs. Jacksonville) would make their game at home versus the Jets next week a battle for first [...]

With Adam Vinatieri out for six weeks, the Indianapolis Colts signed former
Baltimore Ravens kicker Matt Stover, 41. Stover played against the Colts during Indy’s 15-6 Divisional Playoff win over B-More in the 2007 Playoffs.
But the Stover signing isn’t much of a surprise as people expect. What really might be a surprise is that the Colts cut defensive tackle Ed Johnson, for the second straight time, in just 13 months. Johnson was cut the first time due to a drug possession which violated the NFL policy and rules.
But the Colts didn’t release for character, it was performance.
“Just overall, it was production. It was a lack thereof,” Coach Jim Caldwell said. “I know some might be wondering if it was a character issue and it was not.”
Johnson only started four [...]

The Indianapolis Colts have showed signs of hope and some major improvement after Sunday's 14-12 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Colts defense played strong in the victory. Peyton Manning had a solid performance, going 28-of-38 for 301 passing yards with one touchdown and one interception.
Manning played strong and was showing [...]

ESPN.com Insider reports that Colts draft pick Austin Collie is ahead to start at the slot position for the team. Collie and Pierre Garcon have fighting all off-season for the spot but during one drill, Collie caught six footballs while Garcon got only a slim two.
Coach Jim Caldwell says Collie will be spending most of his time in the slot while Anthony Gonzalez is the wide right option which leaves Reggie Wayne at the wide left. More breaking news to come, this is the just the start of them.

Highlights
Manning performed well last night against the hungry Philadelphia Eagles as his Indianapolis Colts trailed to victory, 23-15. Manning, a three-time MVP, threw two touchdowns that game with Curtis Painter having a impressive performance as well.
"I think everybody wanted to be in there. The entire offense felt hungry after last week," Manning said. "Sure, there were some mistakes we can learn from, but there were some good things we can learn from."

Change? You call this change? Ha! This ain't change! Change is going from a Republican white president to a Democratic black one. Change is landline phones to cell phones. Or cell phones to PDA's. It's going from fat 1980s Oprah to sleek 2000s Oprah (minus this past year, apparently). Or, on the flip side, going from 1980s Kirstie Alley to current day Kirstie Alley. Now that's change.
What’s happening with the Indianapolis Colts is not change. At most, it’s some form of multifaceted tweak. Like a Peyton Manning audible, if you will. Now, granted, for perhaps 31 other NFL teams, [...]
