The Buffalo Bills introduce their new General Manager today in Orchard Park, New York. Buddy Nix will take over as the new GM, effective immediately. Nix has over 14 years of NFL experience in a number of different capacities, most recently as the Bills national scout. His last executive positions was with the San Diego Chargers as their assistant GM/director of player personnel.
There were two other candidates who were jockeying for the position, but after a great face-to-face interview with team owner Ralph Wilson Nix was offered the job. Nix, who recently turned 70 years old, is taking over the position which was vacated by Marv Levy after the 2007 season.

The move would help Whitner become more of the "center fielder" of the defense to create more big plays, something that he has been criticized for in his career.
It is now being reported by FoxSports and ProFootballTalk.com's Gregg Rosenthal that Donte Whitner could be playing a position he has never played before in his career; backup.
FoxSports.com reports that "Buffalo's coaching staff is [...]
