The Bills 2009 draft class brought broken knees, league leading interceptions and several tackles. of course, almost all the players taken were defense, I wonder why?
Well, the Bills season is still not out of our heads after what was supposed to be a surprise playoff year with a busy off-season and a "win at all stakes" mentality. Of course, we know how this story ends right? I mean, I don't have to go through it and write about again, do I? Please say I don't.

Bills rookie free safety, Jairus Byrd is in the running for rookie of the year honors.
Drafted in the second round out of Oregon in the 2009 draft, Jairus has already proven himself to be an extreme threat to any opposing quarterback. Jairus finished the season tied for first place in the NFL with nine interceptions and recorded 45 tackles in 14 games. Jarius will also be playing in the Pro Bowl in February as the lone member of the Bills.
Jairus does have some stiff competition on [...]

The Buffalo Bills visited the Kansas City Chiefs this past Sunday and escaped with a victory improving their record to 5-8 overall and 2-1 under new head coach Perry Fewell.
Needless to say, a win is a win but it wasn't pretty. Coming into the game, the Chiefs only had three wins themselves so we can say very comfortably that this game wasn't going to be a potential postseason game or [...]

The Bills continued their losing ways on Sunday, compliments of the Tennessee Titans. As predicted Titans owner Bud Adams was left pondering after flicking of the Bills.
The anticipated return of Trent Edwards was a complete let down. Edwards returned as the starting QB and actually looked worse than before his concussion and time off. Edwards went 18-of-28, one TD and one interception. During the game, I think once the Bills were tired of Edwards not doing anything, [...]

The Bills are coming off an impressive victory last week. Wait a minute, they didn't even play. Why do I feel like they lost though?
Well, the losses are coming compliments of the injury bug (pictured to the right) which has bitten everyone in the last few weeks especially on defense.
Here is a list of injures in past few weeks.
Terrell Owens (no surprise). I think this one was caused by him stubbing his toe. No wait, he took a nap and woke [...]

Sunday, the Bills and Texans faced off in Buffalo which some thought would have been the start of a three-game winning streak for the Bills. Unfortunately, we were wrong as the Bills lost to the Texans 31-10.
Coming into the game, the Bills offense was led by backup QB Ryan Fitzpartick due to the concussion to Trent Edwards in last week's game against the Panthers. The defense was led by S Jairus Byrd and his multiple interceptions in the last three games. Needless to say, one of these leaders did not disappoint.
Let's unveil the bad first (drum roll please). Ryan Fitzpatrick was, how do I put this in somewhat nice terms... worthless. Fitzpartick went 15-of-23 for 117 yards and two interceptions. Trent Edwards could have put up these numbers with the concussion symptoms he's been [...]

[caption id="attachment_2297" align="alignright" width="182" caption="Jairus Byrd looking for another interception. Jairus has five picks in the last three games"][/caption]
As predicted, last week, the Bills defense picked apart Jake Delhomme who is having a horrible year. Delhomme completed three interceptions which allowed Buffalo to score 14 points. Besides Delhomme giving the ball away three times, the [...]

And just when you thought things might be turning around...
The Carolina Panthers published their latest installment in a series of embarrassing outings on Sunday afternoon against the visiting Buffalo Bills, losing 20-9 and falling to 2-4 on the season. What unfolded at Bank of America Stadium can only be described as "spooky" in light of the upcoming holiday, and will surely give Panther Nation nightmares for days to come.
The Panthers dominated in literally every major stat category and still found a way to lose the game, thanks in large part to another trio of interceptions by embattled quarterback Jake Delhomme. Carolina had 20 first downs to Buffalo's 9, gained 425 yards of total offense compared to 167 by the Bills, ran 17 more plays and held the ball for nearly ten [...]

The Buffalo Bills are in a playoff or bust mode this season, and for good reason.
For once they understand that the fans can only take so much. The Bills brass realizes that anything short of the playoffs is unacceptable, and their are jobs on the line.
Head coach Dick Jauron will certainly be looking for a new job next year if the Bills don't reach the postseason, while Tom Modrak (assistant GM) and Russ Brandon (GM/COO) also are on the hot seat.
The Bills realized that they have big holes on both sides of the football. A pass rushing defensive end, linebacker, tight end, tight end and offensive guard/tackle were all gaping holes on the roster that needed to be filled coming into this season.
They addressed some of those needs with four picks on day one of the NFL draft, [...]
