Injuries

Colts defensive end Robert Mathis practiced today to prepare for Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos. Mathis made the Pro Bowl last year. He missed practices on Wednesday and Thursday due to a quad injury and is labeled as questionable.I hope Mathis will play, who could well be on his way to another Pro Bowl, alongside with Dwight Freeney. Other Injury News Ryan Diem did not practice, labeled as questionable. Charlie Johnson practiced today after not playing last week. Questionable Out for game: Donald Brown, Aaron Francisco, Anthony Gonzalez, and Adam Vinatieri [...] Continue reading →
Garrett Wolfe, a third round pick in 2007 out of Northern Illinois has landed on the injured reserve for the second straight season. Wolfe suffered a lacerated kidney in the November 8th blowout against the Cardinals. Wolfe had 22 carries for 120 yards and a touchdown so far this season, averaging 15 yards per carry. He also had nine special team tackles in the eight games he appeared. Wolfe had 21 tackles on special teams last season and was a real leader on the unit. With the loss of Wolfe, Adrian Peterson will see a lot more work on special teams and maybe a carry here and there. Look for the Bears too try [...] Continue reading →
Not only did the Cowboys lose to the Packers this past Sunday, but they lost some players as well. Starting right tackle, Marc Columbo, is most likely out for the season with a broken fibula on his left leg after severe contact with a Packer defender. Columbo, up to that point, had not missed a start for the Cowboys and really was playing great. Last year, Dr. Z, the well-respected Sports Illustrated writer put Marc Columbo on his All-Pro team. Columbo was recently signed to a long extension and he is obviously very upset with the setback. After Columbo was lost, Dallas proceeded to allow a season high five [...] Continue reading →
The Bills are coming off an impressive victory last week. Wait a minute, they didn't even play. Why do I feel like they lost though? Well, the losses are coming compliments of the injury bug (pictured to the right) which has bitten everyone in the last few weeks especially on defense. Here is a list of injures in past few weeks. Terrell Owens (no surprise). I think this one was caused by him stubbing his toe. No wait, he took a nap and woke [...] Continue reading →
SEATTLE, WASH- As if losing 27-3 was not bad enough for the Seattle Seahawks, it got worse. Seahawks middle linebacker Lofa Tatupu is officially done for the season after suffering a torn pectoral muscle against the Arizona Cardinals. Tatupu has missed one full game up to this season and parts of other games against Chicago and San Francisco. [...] Continue reading →
All you hardcore Dallas fans are probably wondering how the camp has been going and asking questions like, "Are we going to playoffs? Are we going to the Super Bowl? Is Tony going to let us down again? Are any of the guys injured?" Well, I can only answer one of those questions. Yes, there have been some injuries during training camp and preseason that the Cowboys have to address. We have two rookies on injured reserve in Robert Brewster, a third round pick out of Ball State, and Brandon Williams, a fourth round pick out of Texas Tech. They were drafted to address depth at offensive [...] Continue reading →
Last season the Seahawks finished 4-12, and earned the fourth overall pick in the 2009 NFL draft. Now if you're someone who knows the Seahawks history you would think that there was really something wrong. Well there was. Injuries, which were like a plague to the Seahawks this passed season. They lost QB Matt Hasselbeck, WR's Deion Branch, Nate Burleson, Bobby Engram, Logan Payne, LT Walter Jones, LG Mike Wahle, C Chris Spencer, RG Rob Sims, RT Sean Locklear, DE Patrick Kerney, LB's Lofa Tatupu and Leroy Hill. Just take a minute and look at that. That would be like for example the Pats losing Brady, Moss, Welker, all five starting OL, Richard Seymour, Adalius Thomas and Jerod Mayo. Now tell me, do you think they would even be a .500 team? No So what has Seattle done this [...] Continue reading →
