Week 8 in the NFL was chock-full of a number of great games, unsuspecting upsets, big blowouts, eye-popping rallies and head-scratching action.  I guess Halloween weekend had something to do with it. Aaron Rodgers and the Packers were on a bye week, but that didn't stop them from pulling even further ahead of the other 31 teams.  There's only one one-loss team left in the league now and it's San Francisco. NFL Power Rankings Week 8, Early 2011 NFL Playoff Picture

NFL Week 7 featured an inevitable great slate of early games (Falcons-Lions, Tebow-Dolphins, Chargers-Jets, Redskins-Panthers and Bears-Buccaneers in London) and late action that made fans cringe. NFL Week 5 was chock-full of inevitable thrillers, head-turning surprises and much more puzzling parity. Six teams sat out for the first week of byes (Dallas, Washington, Baltimore, Cleveland, St. Louis and Miami), creating even a tougher task to systematically sift through the confusion, chaos and correlation between the pretenders and contenders. Following another exciting weekend in the NFL where seven mouth-watering great slate games were decided by five points or less and certainly satisfied football appetites from around the country, it’s time to establish my latest batch of NFL Power Rankings for Week 5.
