What do the Saints need to do in order to secure a victory and travel into a place this franchise has only ever dreamed of...
...simple score more points than the opposition. ;-) To expand that and discuss more how the Saints need to slow the Vikings and the Saints run up the score here is my preview:
The most important aspect for the Saints offense is to NOT let the foot off the gas pedal. The Saints should never look at the scoreboard as to stay in the mindset that they need and should score on every position. I love that Drew Brees, quarterback of the Saints, has said in multiple times [paraphrased] "we want to score every time we [the offense] get the ball." I love that tenacity to always push.
I believe the most important aspect of the game with be the lines...Can the Saints [...]

Who would you rather the Saints face this Saturday? A team that has given up 14 points in the past 3 games or the defense that gave up 45 points in their last game? The Dallas Cowboys are on fire right now, where as the Cardinals defense has been so much 'bark' than 'bite'.
You know who does the trash talking for the Cardinals....the defense, if there was a side of the ball that should be keeping their mouths shut this week it would be and should be the Cardinals defense. Have you heard the reports that Cardinals safety Antrel Rolle said [paraphrased] that he would rather face Drew Brees over Aaron Rodgers.......WHAAAAAAAT???
All Rodgers' did was light you up for 45 points....35 of the points coming in half way through the 3rd quarter and all of the 4th quarter...at home [...]

In last Monday's epic showdown the Saints smothered the Patriots 38-17 at the Superdome. The Saints have long been a bad to mediocre franchise to say the least. This win legitimizes them as a team with an undefeated record on the line, as a franchise looking for prominence and glory, as a city looking for hope through their lovable sports team, as a group of young mean feeling as though they belong at the top of the NFL and should be considered with the NFL's cream of the crops.
The Saints should the whole country that they belonged!
There are a lot of memories from that game - one of them I will not soon forget....the Patriots' star quarterback, Tom Brady, and head coach, Bill Belichick standing-arms-crossed on the sidelines. It is not very often you see a NFL team take out their [...]

Today the Saints added a three time pro bowler to their roster in Chris McAlister. A former 10th overall pick by the Ravens in 1999, McAlister has been apart of many good defenses constructed by the Ravens' coaching staff, is a very physical defensive back, has a super bowl ring to his resume, and fills a big need the Saints have right now with BOTH Jabari Greer and Tracy Porter out with injuries. McAlister isn't a ball-hawk like his counter in Baltimore Ed Reed is, and now current teammate Darren Sharper, so do not expect a lot of interceptions (only 26 in his 10 year career with the Ravens) but McAlister is going to get a lot of Pass Deflections with his physical style of play which should fit in well with defensive coordinator Gregg Williams' planning and play calling. The only concern [...]

After a rough 1st quarter giving up 14 points the Saints defense stepped up only allowing 6 points the remainder of the game, and played well enough to get their offense on the field to score enough to overcome the Carolina Panthers who were clawing as much as possible to get back to 4-4 on the year.
This was a quality win...not a trap game like I heard some analysis say it was or would be. The Panthers need a new quarterback no question about it - that being said, after starting out 0-3 they had gone 3-1 leading up to their game against the Saints. They have talent on that team...you do not go12-4 - a year ago - without talent, good game plan(s), and solid structure.
Well the important thing is the Saints walked away with another win improving their record to 8-0...lets get into [...]

What a game - the Falcons almost...ALMOST....almost threatened the Saints undefeated season thus far (knock on wood) with their last minute efforts...seriously, the last minute of the game seemed to take FOREVER with the Falcons trying their best to claw at the Saints and sneak out of the Big Easy with a win. Luckily the Saints held it together long enough for the clock to read 0:00 which I was very relieved to see - that was a huge win for the Saints, because if they had lost the game the Falcons would only be a game out of first place in the NFC South (Saints would have been 6-1 and the Falcons would have been breathing down their necks with a record of 5-2)...now the Saints are 7-0 and the Falcons are 4-3...probably the best 4-3 team in the league, though their loses come from [...]

Down 21 points...and the Saints march back and find a way to win!
I think we will have some new Stars this week as well as see some names that have been weekly names to be awarded star omitted from this this week's list.
For starters quarterback Drew Brees was a true gamer - his tenacity to go for it on 4th&1 - was pure brilliant, gutsy...and just what you want from your quarterback and leader! While he was brilliant in some aspects, in order to be a true championship caliber team - Brees and the Saints need to learn how to demolish weaker teams like the Dolphins so that they are able to withstand the test of the cream of the crop that the NFL has to offer (included but not limited to: Colts, Patriots, Steelers). Brees was two yards away from another 300 yard performance which [...]

This week 4 match up of the Jets rumbling it out with the Saints was the game I was wanting to watch most...unfortunately the snobby CEOs who make all the decisions did not showcase it on national television - oh well, I had to settle for updates from James Brown on CBS....could be worse ;-)
The Saints were victorious 24-10, giving the Jets head coach (Rex Ryan) and rookie quarterback (Mark Sanchez ) their first career loss. The Saints really seemed to rattle Sanchez's cage - which is something that he has not expereinced a lot at the professional level, nor at the collegiate level when he played at USC. It will be interesting how Sanchez deals with bouncing back - I remember watching Mel Kiper Jr. and Todd McShay duke it out on ESPN about all sorts of issues, but focusing on when they [...]

WOW...the Saints showed up last Sunday to defeat the Eagles 48-24 in Philadelphia. The whole team along with the coaches did a great job game planning and the players a superb demonstration of executing it out on the McNabb-less Eagles. Among the Saints were the Stars that shined bright last Sunday...
...but before I showcase this weeks Star Studded Saints here is a recap:
Week 1 Star Studded Saints:
O-Line
(2) OL Jermon Bushrod (got one from the O-Line as well)
RB Mike Bell
MLB Jonathon Vilma
SS Darren Sharper
QB Drew Brees
Now for the Week 2 Stars:
WR Marques Colston - he caught eight balls for almost a hundred yards (98 to be exact) and counted for two touchdowns. He did with a widely talked about Eagles secondary consisting of pro bowl caliber talent across the [...]
