It has taken me a while to muster up enough strength to write this article after the Vikings devastating loss in the NFC Championship. It was a tough pill to swallow and I will touch on it in this season review, but there were so many better moments in the season I want to get to as well.
So lets start this wild review by getting that awful NFC Championship Game out of the way first. It was one of the most gut wrenching games I have watched and as we all know it ended in disaster. The Vikings dominated every phase of the game, except for the all important turnover battle. The interception heard around the world, as Brett Favre committed quarterback sacrilege by throwing across his body, ripped the hearts out of Vkings’ fans everywhere. It was a terrible way to end the season, but it [...]

On Sunday the Minnesota Vikings will welcome the Dallas Cowboys to the Metrodome to kick off their run at the Super Bowl. On paper the two teams match up very well, and it looks as though this should be the game of the weekend. As always, this game will come down to who can win the major categories of the game, offense, defense, and special teams.
Offense - Cowboys
I give the edge on the offensive side of the ball to the Cowboys, who have been on a roll the past couple of weeks. Tony Romo has the most talent of any quarterback in the NFL, and over the past couple of weeks it looks as though he has finally reached his immense talent. On top of that, Felix Jones has become the most explosive back in the playoffs, surpassing Adrian Peterson. Which brings me to my final reason why I chose [...]

On Thanksgiving I thought I would trouble eating the dinner. I fellsick watching the Raiders defense get torched by Miles Austin on simple routes that could have been better defended. In the first quarter, the Raiders hung tough with Dallas as Dallas took a 3-0 lead. Then the second quarter looked like a whole new ball game. The Cowboys disected and demolished the Raiders with the new weapon in Dallas, Miles Austin. They (Dallas) kept lining him up against Chris Johnson and he kept making catches in stride and using his blazing speed to take the ball for a huge gain. In the first half his average yards per catch was over 20. Why John Marshall didn't move Namdi around and have him follow Austin, I have no idea. Also, Felix Jones had a huge TD run in the wildcat formation, [...]

As we head into Week 5, the Chiefs find themselves in a position no team would want to by this point. That being 0-4 on the season. Although the Chiefs are in the re-building phase, no one wants to see their team on the losing end each week, but with a schedule like there's, it was hard to think they would be anything but winless.
Hosting the Cowboys sunday could actually change all of that. Romo's main WR Roy Williams and originally starting RB Felix Jones are both OUT. Normal starting RB Marion Barber is also doubtful with more knee injury issues. Those three accumulate for four of the ten touchdowns on the year for the Cowboys.
While those following are out, that leaves QB Tony Romo two options. One being throw it to Witten, a lot. Witten may be a tight end, but he's also had [...]

The NFC East is, arguably, the most vicious division in the history of the National Football League. The same can be argued about the division right now.
In the past two years, every team in this division has been to the playoffs. The Giants won the Super Bowl against the Patriots, the Eagles went to the NFC Championship game last year, and the Giants were the number one seed in the NFC.
However, some instances in free agency has led to the weakening of teams in that division.
The [...]

At least this is a team for the ages.

Indianapolis Colts 18, New England Patriots 15
Classic Colts-Patriots: you had New England eating up the clock and controlling the tempo, Peyton Manning making all the big plays through the air, Adam Vinatieri deciding it with a 52-yard field goal and Bill Belichick barely shaking Tony Dungy’s hand afterward.
The Patriots lost this game, but a huge positive that stood out was [...]
