As training camp approaches, there will be starting spots on the line for all 32 teams. Whether it's a rookie coming out on top, or a veteran keeping his job, these next three months will be crucial for the franchises.
So, which ones should you consider watching closely during training camp? I have come up with five battles in training camp to keep your eye on (in no specific order).
5. Clinton Ports vs Larry Johnson vs Willy Parker
When Mike Shanahan became the Washington Redskins head coach, he was going to bring the same kind of offense to Denver, which is running the ball.

Looking back in NFL history, fans should realize that Mike Shanahan has never, ever met a running back he didn't like.

Dallas Cowboys 13, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 9
This was a very good defensive struggle, highlighted by two ravenous run-stopping front sevens. For the Bucs, the speed of the defensive line gave Dallas trouble. For the Cowboys, linebacker Bradie James and nose tackles Jay Ratliff and Tank Johnson were big difference-makers.
