According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, veteran linebacker Cato June has been signed by the Chicago Bears. The former Colt (2003-2006), Buc (2007-2008), Texan (2009) has appeared in 88 games, making 504 tackles, one sack, 12 interceptions and three forced fumbles over six seasons. Since the Bears defensive leader Brian Urlacher went down in week one with a wrist injury, the Bears have seen his backup, Hunter Hillenmeyer get injured as well. Nick Roach, who started nine games at strong-side linebacker last season and two this season (for the injured Pisa Tinoisamoa)  played in the middle against Seattle and Detroit and did a pretty solid job. The Chicago Tribune confirmed their report that Brian Urlacher will mis the rest of the season. Here’s what they had to say: “Brian did have surgery this morning and he is out for the remainder of the season,” team spokesman Jim Christman said. The Bears added a veteran cornerback to there roster today. Inking former Eagle, Cardinal and Brown, Rod Hood to a one year deal. Hood should provide the Bears with much needed depth at the cornerback position. The Cleveland Browns added Hood this off-season, but was released on Monday. The 5′11″ Hood has played in 84 games starting 42 of them, where he recorded 203 tackles, 11 interceptions, five fumble recoveries and 41 special team tackles. The Chicago Tribune’s Vaughn McClure reported this last night: “Bears nose tackle Dusty Dvoracek is scheduled to undergo an MRI Sunday to determine the severity of a right knee injury, Dvoracek left the field early during the Bears’ 17-3 exhibition win over the Giants Saturday night.
