A victory needs to be in the Bears vocabulary come tomorrow night. The once 3-1 Bears have lost four out of their last five, and two games they didn’t just lose, they were flat out embarrassed.
This picture in the article shows the Bears goalline stand against the Philadelphia Eagles last season on Sunday night. The Bears hung on to win that game, with Matt Forte struggling to get anything going on the ground, but lead the team in receiving yards. That sounds a lot like last week, when Forte [...]

The Bears play in San Fransisco tonight a place they haven’t won since the 1985 Super Bowl season.
49ers head coach Mike Singletary will be facing the Bears the first time in his career as a coach.
The Bears have to bring the pressure tonight against Alex Smith and they must contain Frank Gore, who we all know is having a huge season.
The secondary of the Bears is very banged up with Kevin Payne ruled out and Al Afalava questionable after not practicing all week. Nathan Vasher might see some time at safety and expect the Bears to use Steltz or Bullocks a little bit in [...]

49ers tight end Vernon Davis thinks the 49ers offense can crush the Bears struggling defense. Davis has 20 catches and four touchdowns, since the 49ers replaced Shaun Hill and inserted Alex Smith as their quarterback.
Here’s what Davis had to say:
“I think we can destroy their front, the guys up front, I think we can destroy them. I don’t see anything spectacular about their front line. Their linebackers, I think we can handle them pretty well. I like (Adewale) Ogunleye. I like the way he’s playing up front. He’s about the only player I like on their defensive line. I think [...]

The Bears lost 21-14 last night to the Atlanta Falcons and you would think the Falcons played great ball, but they didn’t.
The Bears had a lot of good drives in this game, but had way too many red zone mistakes. Jay Cutler was 2/9 throwing a touchdown and an interception in the red zone. Matt Forte had back to back fumbles at the one yard line, the first one the Bears got back, but the next one the Falcons recovered. The final drive in the game, on a fourth and one, veteran Orlando [...]

If you take a look at the box score from this game, you would think that the Detroit Lions won the game. The Lions had 25 first downs (eight more than the Bears), 308 passing yards (183 more than the Bears) and had the ball for 36 minutes (13 minutes more than the Bears). So, how did the Bears win this game. Well it was mix of great special teams play throughout and some good defense in the second half.
Special Special Teams:
The Bears saw Robbie Gould make two field goals today, one of them [...]

The Bears play their preseason finale against the Cleveland Browns. This game means a lot for players on the bubble, eh, Trumaine McBride, Henry Melton, Rashied Davis, Michael Gaines, and the list goes on. The Bears have to cut their roster down to 53 players from their current number of 75. Eight players will be put on the practice squad, so basically their only disposing of 14 players.
Here are my predictions with the 09-10 Bears 53-man roster:
QB (2): Jay Cutler, Caleb Hanie
The Bears have the starter they have been looking for in Jay Cutler and Caleb Hanie looks to be [...]

The Bears added a veteran cornerback to there roster today. Inking former Eagle, Cardinal and Brown, Rod Hood to a one year deal.
Hood should provide the Bears with much needed depth at the cornerback position. The Cleveland Browns added Hood this off-season, but was released on Monday. The 5′11″ Hood has played in 84 games starting 42 of them, where he recorded 203 tackles, 11 interceptions, five fumble recoveries and 41 special team tackles.
The Bears are waiting on corners Charles Tillman and Zack Bowman to return from injuries. It looks like Bowman will be [...]

Jay Cutler looked solid against his former team the Denver Broncos last night. We all knew he would get booed by the Denver fans, but Cutler lead the Bears down the field on a 98 yard scoring drive.
Cutler was 15 of 21 for 144 yards, one touchdown and a 106.1 passer rating. He connected with tight ends Greg Olsen and Dez Clark and running back Matt Forte on the 98 yard drive, which ended in a Matt Forte receiving touchdown.
Matt Forte had this to say about last nights game:
“I think we’re ready as a whole team, everybody looks good out there. If we had to play [...]

The Chicago Tribune’s Vaughn McClure reported this last night:
“Bears nose tackle Dusty Dvoracek is scheduled to undergo an MRI Sunday to determine the severity of a right knee injury, Dvoracek left the field early during the Bears’ 17-3 exhibition win over the Giants Saturday night. He exited the locker room after the game with ice wrapped around the knee. Hours later, he said he would be”fine.”
This morning Chicago Sun-Times writer Brad Biggs reported this:
“Based on his past, it cannot come as a surprise to the Bears that Dusty [...]

Bears leader and star linebacker Brian Urlacher has been selected to six pro bowls in nine seasons with the Bears. He recently spoke up about the talent around the team, this is what he had to say:
“I think this is the best team I’ve been on going into training camp since I’ve been here, there’s no doubt about that. If you look at each position, we stack up pretty well versus every team in the NFL. We’ve just got to stay healthy, have a good training camp and get to the season.”
“We’ve made some good additions on both sides of the ball—not just with the [...]
