With Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback recently being in the news for harassment as well as other possible charges involving an incident outside Atlanta, the Rooney family is not so high on Big Ben. This is his second off the field incident (he's currently fighting a civil suit in Nevada for sexual assault) and could be willing to part with the star quarterback.
The Steelers have said they would be content with current backup Dennis Dixon as the team’s starting quarterback or could acquire one via the NFL draft, but Dixon would be the more immediate choice.
So who would be interested in the 28-year old quarterback?
The [...]

According to ESPN's John Clayton and Adam Schefter the Seattle Seahawks have completed a trade that will send Seahawks backup quarterback to the Cleveland Browns for an undisclosed 2011 draft pick. With the acquisition of Wallace, he gets the opportunity to reunite with former head coach Mike Holmgren in Cleveland and possibly get the chance to be a full time starting quarterback in the NFL.
Wallace now joins Derek Anderson and Brady Quinn as the three quarterbacks in Cleveland. However with Mike Holmgren being the man in charge it's been rumored recently that Anderson will be cut in the coming weeks and Brady Quinn could either be [...]

Welcome ladies and gents to the 2010 New England Patriots offseason. I'm happy to be back at it again, as money is getting exchanged in this uncapped free agency period. It's been another minute since the last time you all have heard from me, and my plan is to not give you all 2,000 words. That said, this is the time of the year where plans start getting adjusted by external factors! I'll call these reports the Hindsight Reports because all we are going to do is look back on them and judge. Let me catch you all up on what's been up the last couple of weeks (besides the Combine, more on that jazz later):
-WR Randy Moss conceded that 2010 will most likely be his last season in New England: I think what is interesting about this is that Moss' cited the fact that New England [...]

Brandon Marshall is an amazing wide receiver, on the field.
Marshall is coming off seasons of 102, 104 and 101 catches respectively, including back to back Pro Bowl appearances. His 6'4" 230 pound frame gives him the size to dominate opposing defenders, while his speed and hops combine to make him almost indefendable.
Off the field, Marshall's story is full of enough run-ins with the law that not only brings his character into question, it shows he's an absolute liability when not suited up in a jersey and helmet.
A baker's dozen of domestic disputes with girlfriends and fiances shows he thinks he's above the law and [...]

Neil Hayes of the Chicago Sun-Times believes that Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall will end up as a Bear in 2010. We all heard this rumor last season once Jay Cutler was traded and head coach Josh McDaniels and Brandon Marshall bickered back and forth.
Obviously, Brandon Marshall would be a great fit in Chicago’s new style of offense with Mike Martz running the show. According to Neil Hayes of the [...]

2010 NFL Draft,
Brandon Marshall,

Mark Sanchez,
Matt Hasselbeck,
Mike Teel,
Pete Carroll,
Ricky Williams,
Sam Bradford,
Seahawks,
Shaun Alexander
The million dollar question looming in Seattle is centered around Pete Carroll and what he wants to do at the quarterback position.
Carroll and Schneider are in a rough position because they have come in during the middle of a horrendous rebuilding process, which was created by former Seahawks general manager Tim Ruskell.
Matt Hasselbeck is entering into the final year of his contract and with the amount of injuries he's had over the past two years his future, with the current offense is questionable. The Seahawks have Seneca Wallace and Mike Teel behind Hasselbeck and neither have the complete package to be a 16+ game starter in [...]

In an effort to further inform the readers on NFLtouchdown.com and especially the Seahawks section I’ve decided to have a weekly article about any and all Seahawks notes and rumors from around the league.
With the Seahawks being one of the most “link attached” teams this off season it will be interesting to see what unfolds under this new direction of Seahawks football under head coach Pete Carroll and general manager John Schneider.
With the Seahawks having an owner in Paul Allen, who early in the off season made it apparent that he is not afraid to make a bold statement with a lot of cash attached to that statement.

NFL draft,

First off this is just a rumor, thought up three weeks ago by ESPN NFC West blogger Mike Sando. Sando, who is a good friend of mine, suggested that the Seahawks could package one of their top three draft selections in the 2010 NFL draft as well as Deion Branch, who has underperformed in Seattle to the Denver Broncos in exchange for the standout Brandon Marshall, who is a restricted free agent this off season.
Sando does bring up a good point about shipping Branch and one of the Seahawks first three [...]

The Raiders and Broncos have had a reverse effect on home field advantage lately. Last year the Broncos had a blow out Monday night win at Oakland while the Raiders shocked the Broncos later that year at Mile High. Earlier this year the Broncos blew out Oakland 23-3 in a game for the AFC West lead. The Raiders are now on their 3rd quarterback of the year with Charlie Frye starting in place of the injured Bruce Gradkowski and the ineffective JaMarcus Russell. The Broncos are playing for a playoff spot while the Raiders are playing for pride. This was the scenairo last year when the Raiders stunned the Broncos at Denver late in the season.
Charlie Frye vs. His Nerves: Frye has gotten the nod from Tom Cable to be the starter for the Raiders. It [...]

The media icon that is the NFL seemed to go from a league with players playing to win and get the prize inside every box (the Super Bowl) to a league that's been loaded with player conduct problems, divas, and players just in it for the money.
On Aug. 8, 2006, Roger Goodell was selected to succeed retiring commissioner Paul Tagliabue, voted on by 31 NFL GMs (Oakland abstained from all voting).
Goodell officially became the acting commissioner on [...]
