Anquan Boldin

Well, sorry folks- I've been pretty sick the past few weeks and I haven't had a whole lot of time to write.  In fact, I'm still pretty sick but I can't be dormant for this long - so here are the latest goings on in Dolphins land. I'll start with the most recent.  Jeff Ireland had his annual press conference today (seriously, this guy is more secretive than the director of the CIA).  One of the most notable moments of the conference was when he spoke about beleaguered free safety Gibril Wilson.  Practically the entire Phins Nation is calling for Wilson to get cut, and with no salary cap the Dolphins would suffer no financial ramifications.  Ireland, however, defended Wilson- saying he was unfairly blamed for the difficulties of starting 2 rookie corners.  He also suggested he will [...] Continue reading →
Perhaps the most encouraging stat for Arizona fans going into their Week 1 matchup versus the 49ers is that Ken Whisenhunt's teams are 14-4 at home. They will desperately need that home field advantage assuming San Francisco has taken on the personality of their new head coach Mike Singletary, whose fire and intense gaze struck fear into opponents throughout his illustrious Hall of Fame career. Singletary promises a rush first offensive attack, made apparent by their selection of Shaun Hill as their starting QB. Hill does not possess outstanding athleticism or an exceptionally strong arm. He does however exude leadership and a throwback, tough attitude reminiscent of [...] Continue reading →
The Arizona Cardinals shocked the NFL nation last year when they flew there way through the playoffs. Even more shocking was the fight they put up against the Pittsburgh Steelers  in Super Bowl XLIII. Only to loose  27-23 on Santonio Holmes' outstanding tip-toe catch in the back of the end zone with just 35 seconds remaining in the game!  Amoment that will never be forgotten in Super Bowl history nor the minds of the Cardinals. The Arizona Caridnals enter the 2009 season looking to repeat as NFC West Division champions, and hopefully a trip to Miami to play for another Super Bowl. However, the Cardinals, like last year, know it wont be easy. If they want to repeat last years success they must continue to use the leadership of veteran quarterback Kurt Warner, who [...] Continue reading →
By Jake Perper The Bears tried acquiring Anquan Boldin during the NFL Draft, but the Arizona Cardinals wanted a 1st rounder in return for the pro bowl receiver. The Bears didn’t have a first round pick in this years draft or next years because of the Jay Cutler trade. If the Bears acquired the 29 year old Boldin, they would be favorites to win the super bowl in my opinion. Not only would the offense be really really good, but the defense would be even better because they wouldn’t have to be on the field as much, thus not being [...] Continue reading →
With January nearly over, I’m in my busy time of year as far as planning a strategy for 2009 with the team preview reports and overall content for NFLTouchdown.com. So, I’m going to be short and sweet with this. Here’s my message to America: STOP THE MOCK DRAFTS! This goes for ESPN, CNNSI and every other sports website out there. And it goes for the fans and people reading these mock drafts. [...] Continue reading →
New York Jets 56, Arizona Cardinals 35 472 yards passing for Kurt Warner. Six touchdowns for Brett Favre. Seven turnovers for the Cardinals. The Jets score their 54th point late in the game and then go for two. The Cardinals unload a slew of onside kicks starting in the third quarter. Tell me this doesn’t sound like you and your buddy’s game of Madden. [...] Continue reading →
