Aaron Rodgers

Who would you rather the Saints face this Saturday? A team that has given up 14 points in the past 3 games or the defense that gave up 45 points in their last game? The Dallas Cowboys are on fire right now, where as the Cardinals defense has been so much 'bark' than 'bite'. You know who does the trash talking for the Cardinals....the defense, if there was a side of the ball that should be keeping their mouths shut this week it would be and should be the Cardinals defense. Have you heard the reports that Cardinals safety Antrel Rolle said [paraphrased] that he would rather face Drew Brees over Aaron Rodgers.......WHAAAAAAAT??? All Rodgers' did was light you up for 45 points....35 of the points coming in half way through the 3rd quarter and all of the 4th quarter...at home [...] Continue reading →
Minnesota hosts the New York Giants in an early Sunday game, and the outcome will dictate the Arizona Cardinals' game plan for their later game slot against the Green Bay Packers. If the Vikings win the Cardinals will surely fall back on plan B, which will be to rest key players and keep the game plan as plain as Breyer's vanilla bean ice cream. With the strong likelihood of facing the Packers the following week on the same field in the first round of the playoffs, it would be foolish to reveal too much to Green Bay. If the Vikings lose, the Cardinals will be gunning for the #2 NFC seed. Of course, they will [...] Continue reading →
It was Monday, Nov. 9 at 2:25 PM. The "Tragedy in Tampa" had occurred less than 24 hours ago. The Packers offense had just finished watching the film of that very ugly game. More sacks. More penalties. More of the poor and inconsistent play that had plagued them all season. Everyone was disgusted. Veteran players stood up individually and spoke to the entire team, including coaches. Donald Driver, Aaron Rodgers, Mark Tauscher, and others had their say. Donald Driver had some of the more powerful words: "If we don't win - and I mean now - they are going to fire all of our (butts) at the end of the season," Driver said. "I'm [...] Continue reading →
It's a fickle world of coincidences these days. After a weekend to remember at the Metrodome (now formally named Mall of America Field), the Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Vikings have played their best games of their season and maybe their franchises' history on consecutive back-to-back nights. The fans of Minnesota felt like they were in a Buffalo Wild Wings and couldn't decide what to watch. On Monday night (and Tuesday for that matter) the eyes of the nation watched as Brett Favre lead the boys in purple against his former team in a game many said would define his season and make or break the Vikings playoff hopes. After that fateful night, not only are Vikings fans talking playoffs, they're talking the whole piece of pie in Miami, Florida. Brett Favre put up a great [...] Continue reading →
Five suggestions for Aaron Rodgers... 1) Drop the Jesus look and please stop wearing those ridiculous hats to the post-game press conferences. Dude, we know you're from California, but you're not a skateboarder—you're an NFL quarterback, dammit. Please try looking like one.  (Writer's note: Looks like Aaron may have already gotten this advice from somewhere else.  See the above photo of him at the Kentucky Derby clean-shaven and looking very professional) 2) Listen Aaron, even if it's true, do you really want to go around admitting Princess Bride is your favorite movie? Something [...] Continue reading →
San Diego Chargers 30, New England Patriots 10 Did the Patriots really call timeout with :02 left in this game? Pathetic. Looks like Belichick runs up the scoring even when he’s losing. Or would that actually be called running down the score? San Diego’s defense was spectacular Sunday night, particularly Jamal Williams up front and Quintin [...] Continue reading →
Indianapolis Colts 31, Houston Texans 27 This was a season-wrecker for the Texans. To give up 21 points in less than three minutes while nursing a lead in the home opener against the perennial division powerhouse is crushing. Especially when you consider that they lost a heartbreaker against divisional foe Jacksonville a week ago. Take nothing away from [...] Continue reading →
New York Jets 56, Arizona Cardinals 35 472 yards passing for Kurt Warner. Six touchdowns for Brett Favre. Seven turnovers for the Cardinals. The Jets score their 54th point late in the game and then go for two. The Cardinals unload a slew of onside kicks starting in the third quarter. Tell me this doesn’t sound like you and your buddy’s game of Madden. [...] Continue reading →
