Aaron Curry

With only four teams in remaining in the playoffs it means one of two things. One, Brett Favre is this much closer to a Super Bowl, but at the same time that much closer to another off season of "am I retired? I don't even know what that word means". Two, it means that free agency is inching closer and closer which starts the best time of the year. Speculation time. However with the NFL's collective bargaining agreement still i limbo not to many free agents know their status, in terms of restricted or unrestricted free agents. One of those lucky free agents to be, Green Bay Packers OLB/DE Aaron Kampman is most likely going to [...] Continue reading →
With Pete Carroll's signature on the dotted line on his new five year, $35 million dollar contract that will make him the eight head coach in Seahawks history, as well as the teams executive vice president of football operations. When Pete Carroll arrived at the VMAC today in Renton to meet the Seattle and national media for the first time as head coach and executive vice president of the Seahawks you could tell right from the first words Carroll said "I'm fired up" that the Seahawks, Paul Allen and Tod Leiweke made the [...] Continue reading →
What a decade it has been for the Seattle Seahawks organization and the city of Seattle in general. The Seahawks, one of two original expansion teams along with the Tampa Bay Bucs have been to their highest high and their lowest low (still currently going lower) in franchise history, which is arguably the most successful decade in franchise history. The Seahawks started out in 2000 still in the AFC West with John Kitna as their starting quarterback so when you take a look at the current Seahawks roster the organization has been through a lot of changes, both good and bad this decade. If you want to compare the start of the [...] Continue reading →
RENTON—2005 super bowl runner up, the Seattle Seahawks. 2009 4-12 and 4th overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft the Seattle Seahawks. It’s been a long hard fall from the great season of 2005 when the Seahawks went 13-3 under former head coach Mike Holmgren. In that season the Seahawks started 2-2 in their first four games and 5-2 going into their bye week (8). Since their super bowl run in 2005 the Seahawks have had only one 10+ win [...] Continue reading →
It's two weeks into the 2009 regular season in the NFL and wouldn’t you know it Seattle Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck is down with another injury. Hasselbeck left mid way through the second quarter with what is now reported as a fractured rib which was caused by a hit made by 49ers linebacker Patrick Willis as Hasselbeck was stretching out towards the goal line. [...] Continue reading →
In the Seahawks 28-0 week one win against the St Louis Rams the Seahawks lose a key player on defense in Leroy Hill. During the game Hill came off late in the first quarter and came back late in the second quarter in street close. At the time it was reported as a "groin injury". After the game the Seahawks trainers had the opportunity to run all the test on Hill and they came to a consensus that Hill had a groin injury, possible tear. Head coach Jim Mora Jr. reported yesterday that Hill will be out till week eight after the Seahawks bye week in week seven. Now yes losing a starting linebacker like Leroy Hill is a significant lose but it's not as bad as fans, and everyone else is making it out to be. The Seahawks have two outstanding backup linebackers in Will [...] Continue reading →
RENTON- The Seahawks have until 3 P.M PST to make their final 22 cuts in order to get down to the NFL required 53 man roster. According to SI.com's Peter King the Seattle Seahawks will keep all seven of their 2009 NFL Draft class. However that does not include the undrafted free agents. This just includes the drafted players. That would be Aaron Curry, Max Unger, Deon Butler, Mike Teel, Courtney Greene, Nick Reed and Cameron Morrah. So what does this mean in the big picture? Well Curry, we all know has been the starting OLB for the Seahawks since he was drafted. Max Unger, will now officially start over Mansfield Wrotto at RG. Deon Butler will now become the fourth wide receiver. Teel is the Seahawks third quarterback. Greene is now a backup to [...] Continue reading →

In 2010 the NFL pro bowl will be played in Miami Florida, instead of Hawaii. Now last season the Seahawks had one loan pro bowl on their roster. That player, Julian Peterson, is now in Detroit. Usual Seahawks like Walter Jones, Lofa Tatupu, Patrick Kerney, Matt Hasselbeck etc. Non of them played the entire season and none of them made the pro bowl. In my last article I talked about three Seahawks who are key to the success of the offense. Now I have selected three players on defense who have a great shot at the Pro bowl and are key to the success on defense. 1) The entire LB corps (Leroy Hill, Lofa Tatupu and Aaron Curry) Examination: The most expensive part of the Seahawks defense, and the second most expensive position on the entire roster next to WR.
