Your site lost ALL credability with these rankings. Without a doubt, the last time I visit your site. Leave the prognostication to professionals.

lol - you can’t win with an article like this one. Brady’s knee is not in good shape, though. It takes more than a year to recover from the injury he sustained, and that is without the doctor f’ing it up and letting the knee get all infected. The all-geriatric team they pulled together this off-season should be interesting to watch. Fred Taylor is the bomb, and they only need a couple hundred carries (at most) out of him. Much love for the respect you pay the Bears, too. The Rams need to be bumped back some, though, as they’re going to be terrible. And you are way off on the Jags. They are a season removed from 11-5 and lost a ton of guys on their offensive line last season. They’re gonna bounce back. Holt is such an upgrade over that blow-head, Matt Jones. And Detroit is going to turn things around starting now. Stafford is the real deal, and that group of fellas have gelled under the new regime. But overall, not a bad list.

  • Martin Shields says:

seem good to me. least they’re not bias. these guys are just mad you didnt rank their teams higher. i think you got denver right…

  • Jake Perper says:

packers at 7 idk about that. and jags at 27? wow

  • [...] Touchdown. I have wonder what on Earth Benoit was thinking, though, when he ranked the Giants as the 11th most likely team to win the Super Bowl this season. Especially since he gives New Orleans, Green Bay, Baltimore, [...]

  • GBecerra says:

You are retarded, yes I said it, retarded. The Raiders #32? How in the f_ck is that? Excuse the language but DAMN.
Let’s see. last year they were in the top 10 in running. McFadden is healthy, Fargas is ready and so is Michael Bush. We have 3 ’starting’ backs ready to go. We improved our offensive line with Samsom Satele and Mario Henderson starting over the released Kwame Harris.
JaMarcus has progressed some. Zach Miller is Pro-Bowl bound.
The Raiders have the BEST SPECIAL TEAMS IN FOOTBALL! The best Punter in the NFL and the best Return duo in football, Johnnie Lee Higgins and Justin Miller. They combined for 6 TD returns this past year, that’s more then any other team.
My goodness, you Raider haters have no damn shame. You let your hate of the team ignore FACTS….

  • bmanley says:

are you serious??? you have the giants ranked 11th. you honestly think the saints and packers have a better chance of winning it all than the giants? do people pay you to put in research or did you just pull these teams out of a hat? this is a terrible terrible list

  • CHARGERS have beat Raiders 10 times in a row! says:

The angry raiders fans (GBecerra) and others should E-mail their teams and complain about how bad their teams are. Instead of taking it out on your VERY accurate list. Besides if you team is not in the top half do they have a chance anyway? Me thinks not!

  • Matt says:

How can you rate the giants down at 11th. They’re D is #1 or 2 and thier run game is to. Theyre at least 5.
The Cowboys are gunna die this year with no TO and an average D
    Redskins Oline is gunna collapse.

  • Drew says:

Where did you buy that rock your smoking? Titans 18? Do I sense a little anti- southern bias?

    1. Philadelphia Eagles

  • Brandon Erickson says:

Philly is not the #1 team, but a definite top five.

Honestly Andy, I can’t say I agree with these rankings, its just too off in some places… (Not to defend my team, but Minnesota is NOT a #15 ranked team… #10 would be reasonable, but #15 is kinda rough)

New England, San Diego don’t belong in the top five… Dallas doesn’t belong anywhere close to top 15 much less cracking the top 10.

  • Badboy77 says:

I think minnesota is in the top 6 and u got the pats wrong maybe 8 or 9 …lol by the way am a eagle fan

  • Michael says:

these are predictions, i do not see how you can get so angry when AB is just giving his opinion (thorough to say the least). Do you get upset at the weather man when he predicts the weather, no…because at the end of the day you know the weather man cannot forecast the weather only use the information that is given to him and make a honest and educated prediction. That is all AB is doing, using the information around him, synthesizing it, and then forecasting how he thinks it will play out. AB - whether I agree with some of your picks, I know you always do your research and when you give an opinion on the internet you must be fairly confident in it otherwise you would not publish it.

And Raiders fan at the top judging by the fact that your team hasn’t one more than 5 games in the past 7 YEARS - your team gets an automatic bottom 5 finish, then to see all the other quarterbacks in the bottom 5 I would take all of them over yours in Ja-haven’t done anything but gain weight-Marcus Russell. When he stops tripping over himself in GAMES I will think about moving them up in my ranks, til then try and win some games.

  • josh says:

Come on im a cowboys fan and the patriots at 1 is ridiculous it should be the steelers tom brady and the pats havent looked that good at all and last night they made a terrible washing offense look great!!!!!! how r the packers and saints in the top 10 wen they both had losing records last year and havent done anything to show it wont b the same its the same teams

  • To answer your question Josh (because you obviously haven’t been in tune with what GB has done in the preseason), the packers rated at 7 is fair, maybe could have been 5 even. At 3-0 in pre-season play, the MOST offensive points in the league, the MOST takeaways in the league, the top O in the league, the top D in the league, well rankings are just that..rankings. All factual. Sure, its pre-season. Then I say bring ON the season…! They will make a deep run, finish with a winning record, and the new 3-4 D will help make a STAR of A. Rodgers…(and it’s gunna feel great to beat the Vikings TWICE.)

  • Charles Melancon says:

I seriously believe the Lady Patriots are not the best team. But I do agree with the next five teams, but not necessarily in that order. The Saints will surprise a lot of people this year. Their defense will be the reason.

  • josh says:

ya to answer your answer the detroit lions were 4-0 last year in the preason so i dont care what greenbay has done in the preason or any of these teams a 6-10 football team is a 6-10 football team i mean really come a power ranking off of preseason is ridiculous and you cant justify a teaam with a losing record being in the top 10 and for my predicion on green baby is 7-9 at best loosing both times to the bears and vikings

  • josh says:

and the raiders beat us 31-10 in the (preseason) so does that mean there a better team then us no its a preseason game you cant make a meaningless game meaningful when the season starts and you guys play the bears you will know how good you r i mean you guys looking promising but your division is gonna be stacked and last year member how aaron rodgers started and then he faded so we got to see if he can play good all year to

  • Josh says:

I think everything there is just about right except for the giants there an easy 7-9 team they have no offense because eli simply cannot throw the ball his career completion rating is lower then vicks so how is he even one of the best in the league he simply cannot throw.

  • Will ellison says:

Ravens at 16 dude Ur list is more f’ed then the person Ur arguing aganist

  • josh says:

even i think the ravens r a top 5 team easily this whole list is a sham

  • Gene says:

Out of the NFC North, you’ve got the Packers AND
Bears ranked higher than Minnesota?? Higher than the
team with the number one rushing defense in the NFL two years in a row, the number one rushing offense, the number one running back in the NFL, Jared Allen the Sack-Master, three All-Pro
starting defensive linemen, and Brett Favre at QB running
a familiar offensive scheme? Please send me some of
whatever you’re smoking, becaue ignorance must truly be bliss.
Why not just predict the Lions to be NFC North winners this year?
If you are going to turn things upside down like a bad
Alice-in-Wonderland dream, why leave them out of the fantasy?

  • Gene says:

    1.Pats 2.Steelers 3.Colts 4.Ravens 5.Giants 6.Vikings 7.Falcons
8.Eagles 9.Chargers 10.Texans My top ten. I know I’ll take heat for the Texans, but I wanted to throw one long shot new-comer into the top ten for the hell of it. Ravens will be much better than anyone expects, except Raven fans, who truly expect a SB.
Might have happened last year, except that they are in the
same division with the Steelers. Eagles will struggle with the
Vick-McNabb saga. A team needs one defined leader.
The Pats are…well, look at the last ten years.
They just have to be the odds-on favorites, even though I hate them. Steelers? They won the last SB, ’nuff said. (and six
total…..I admit that they are winners, even though I hate them too. The Colts still have Peyton in place, and like him or not, he’s a winner. I’ve lost faith in the Chargers. The pieces to get it done are in place for the Vikings and Falcons, so I’ve given them the benefit of the doubt.

  • Gene says:

Well, folks, where is all the hate feedback from
this top-ten opinion I’ve posted? I mean, typically,
if anyone leaves out Dallas and/or Greenbay in any
football prediction, however realistic, some zealot Cheesehead or
patriotic defender of “America’s Team, the ‘Boys”
trys to verbally castrate the writer.
(Even when those two teams honestly seemed destined
for a mediocre season) One last chance…..
tell me how the Pack or the Boys deserve to be placed in the top
10, so it will be in writing in Jan-February for me to chuckle at,
    and you to regret.

  • Grampy says:

Some kind of analyst you are these ranks blow.

1.) how are you going to put a team that didnt make the playoffs last year and has there starting qb coming off a career damaging injury? Patriots arent the best team and they havent done much in the offseason to bolster them up to a number one preseason ranking.

2.) Um the chargers number two? With LT declining and they are getting their star LB back from a career damaging injury how can you expect them to just jump into the number 2 spot when they barely snuck in the playoffs in the weak division they are in.

3.) Did you know four out of your top 10 teams didnt make the playoffs last year?

4.) numbers 18,19,20 i find those spots funny seeing as how the titans and the panthers had the top two records in the league last year and the cardinals barley lost the super bowl and you dont have any of these teams in the top 15?

Do you even follow the NFL?
