In my first installment of my 2010 NFL Mock draft I received a lot of comments with people speaking out about two or three of my picks. Mainly Tim Tebow going sixth to the Seattle Seahawks, Gerald McCoy 12th to the Miami Dolphins and Jahvid Best 21st to the New York Jets.
So far no new big names have thrown their name into the 2010 draft pool. However I would like to point out that UW quarterback Jake Locker IS NOT going to be in the 2010 mock draft. I have seen at least five or more mock drafts in the last few days with Locker still in them.
So with that being said [...]

Breaking News from Yahoo Sports and the Houston Chronicle:
Rick Dennison will be the new Offensive Coordinator of the Houston Texans. Dennison played and coached with Head Coach Gary Kubiak in Denver. He leaves the Broncos where he was the Offensive Line Coach after being demoted from the Offensive Coordinator job.
More on this development later.

The Texans ended the season with a bang, beating the once mighty Patriots 34-27 for their first winning season in team history. Unfortunately they missed the playoffs.
With that being said the post season maneuvers started almost as soon as the game was over. When the Redskins fired their head coach and brought in Mike Shanahan, Houston lost their Offensive Coordinator Kyle Shanahan. Kyle left to join his dad in Washington, which everyone knew would happen.
It also appears that Offensive Line Coach Alex Gibbs is going to Seattle. This leaves Houston in search of two coaches. Head Coach Kubiak has already interviewed several available coaches for the OC job and the front runner seems to be Rick Dennison from Denver, where he is (was) the offensive line coach.

Well the 2009 NFL season has ended for our Houston Texans and still no playoff berth. That is the bad news.
The good news is that our favorite team has posted their FIRST winning record in their short 7 years in the league.
So as we all prepare to watch Indy and everyone else play on into the post season it is time to look back at the Texans season and try to find the problems that remain with the team and what to fix for next year.
With this in mind lets look at some stats from this year. The offense lead the way this year (as usual) ranking #10 in the league overall. While that may sound pretty good to you let's look deeper into that ranking.
The Texans ranked #1 in passing yards per game, but #30 in rushing yards per game. That needs to change if we want to make a [...]

First let me apologize for taking so long to get back to the Texans and their roller coaster season. Unfortunately during the holidays I work 10 - 14 hours a day and this year I was the person closing every day.
Ok, let's get to our favorite teams progress. Let's see, the last time I spoke the Texans were going into their bye week having just lost to Indy in a heartbreaker. Since then they have dropped 3 more games by 7 points or less and have won 3 more games.
The Texans went to Miami for a must win game against the 'phins who also needed a win to keep their playoff hopes alive. Unlike some games where the Texans come out flat and take a drive or two to come alive, this time they came out firing on at least 6 or 8 cylinders on the first possession.
The Texans scored on [...]

Well, our Houston Texans failed their biggest test to date in their young football career. They failed to best the Colts in Lucas Oil Stadium Sunday, and fell to 5-4 on the season.
By now, all of you probably know how the game played out, but let me recap the game right quick. The Texans came out flat and gave up 10 points before the offense got on track. They had 9, count them 9, penalties in the first half and only managed to put up 3 points in the half. Then came half time. The Texans came out in the second half firing on all cylinders. They put up 17 unanswered points to take the lead. The defense shut down Manning and co., until the end on the 4th quarter, when Manning connected with Addai for the go ahead score. The Texans drove down again, but an interception of [...]

Wow! Last week was a nail biting, hair pulling, gut checking and heart stressing win. I started the game nervous, by half time I was feeling good, by the end of three I was nervous again and with two minutes left I was a screaming mess of nerves and high blood pressure. Thank you Texans defense.
Our Houston Texans ran up a 21 - 0 lead at half time while limiting the 49er offense to a whole 50 yards of total offense and then almost let it get away. A few years ago, heck even last year, I would not have given them a chance even with this score but this year is different. I thought they had this in the bag and was ready for a final score of say, umm I don't know, 35 - 3 or so. Instead we got 24 - 21.
The good news, our run defense showed up again, we had a pass rush ( for [...]
