With the draft only 30 days and some loose change away, many are wondering what the Bills are going to do. One of those many is myself.
The Bills are signing free agents at a snail's pace. Without boring you to much, the few things the Bills organization has done really has me wondering. The Bills have a new "big name coach," new GM, no T.O., uncertainty at QB, an over-paid running back, no offensive scheme or offense for that matter, a left guard who retired at the tender age of 24, a defensive end who doesn't know if he wants to retire nor will he let the franchise know, and most importantly fans who are fed up with losing.
So where do they go from here? Well, first they need to be more aggressive in free agency. Signing offensive tackle, Cornell Green last week and linebacker, [...]

Before Jamaal Charles burst onto the scene with a 108 yard rushing performance in week 10, Kansas City fans clamored for a revamped offensive line.
Atrocious in protection, the offensive unit surrendered 42 sacks in 2009, but the majority came in the first half of the season.
The inability to give the quarterback time to let plays develop is also a cause for quarterback Matt Cassel’s troubling 5.9 yards per completion last season.

Billy Kramer asks, “When’s mommy coming back?”
“I don’t know, Billy. Soon.” Ted, his father replies.
“How Soon?
“Soon.”
“Will she pick me up after school?”
“Probably. And if she doesn’t I will,” Ted insists.
“What if you forget?”
“I won’t forget.”
“What if you get run over by a truck and get killed?”
“Them Mommy will pick you up.”
At first glance, a quote from the movie Kramer vs. Kramer has little place in a football forum. However, the story of a broken marriage tells a similar story to the recent marriage of Jamaal Charles and Thomas Jones in the Kansas City backfield.
No, not a literal, Dennis Rodman type publicity marriage, but simply the uniting of two star players at the same position on the same team.
While [...]

Welcome ladies and gents to the 2010 New England Patriots offseason. I'm happy to be back at it again, as money is getting exchanged in this uncapped free agency period. It's been another minute since the last time you all have heard from me, and my plan is to not give you all 2,000 words. That said, this is the time of the year where plans start getting adjusted by external factors! I'll call these reports the Hindsight Reports because all we are going to do is look back on them and judge. Let me catch you all up on what's been up the last couple of weeks (besides the Combine, more on that jazz later):
-WR Randy Moss conceded that 2010 will most likely be his last season in New England: I think what is interesting about this is that Moss' cited the fact that New England [...]

Frank Omiyale can play left guard and right tackle and he is expected to be a starter at one of those positions this season. Omiyale also known as “The Tank”, a reference to Old School a movie with Will Ferrell has to be pretty good in order for this style of up tempo offense to work.
Lovie Smith talked about what his plan with Omiyale would be:
“We’re going to lock Frank in at one position, whatever position that ends up being.”
“He can play the left guard position. He can play the right tackle position. I think it’s safe to say that Frank will be at one of those positions for us and [...]

Neil Hayes of the Chicago Sun-Times believes that Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall will end up as a Bear in 2010. We all heard this rumor last season once Jay Cutler was traded and head coach Josh McDaniels and Brandon Marshall bickered back and forth.
Obviously, Brandon Marshall would be a great fit in Chicago’s new style of offense with Mike Martz running the show. According to Neil Hayes of the [...]

This may be insignificant news but the Bears brought back undrafted wide reciever Eric Peterman on a one year deal. They signed him out of Northwestern after the draft and he was released before the season started. They also signed big 6′8″ tight end Richard Angulo, who has played 28 games for the St. Louis Rams, Jacksonville Jaguars and Minnesota Vikings in his short career.
I think these are solid moves considering the Bears wide receivers are already young and Mike Martz likes to use a lot of them at a time. Peterman is a [...]

Well, it's that time of year again. The NFL Draft is around the corner and teams begin the restocking of young talent. The real trick to it is finding those players that are not only talented, but fit your system. The Falcons have either the 19th or 20th pick in this draft depending on a coin flip. So being realistic, my list needed to be based on players that may actually be available.
With the NFL combine beginning next week, I've begun preparing my short list of players to observe. Based on needs, character and overall talent these five names stand out to me.
1. Ricky Sapp - Linebacker - Clemson
The Falcons currently have Mike Peterson and Stephen Nicholas manning the outside linebacker positions but GM Thomas Dimitroff preaches youth movement. So [...]

Today, the Atlanta Falcons announced that they have promoted quarterbacks coach Bill Musgrave to the assistant head coaching position.
Musgrave was being persued by unknown sources which may have prompted the promotion. His work with Matt Ryan gave him job security with the Falcons over the past two seasons.
Widely known as one of the best quarterbacks coaches in the NFL, the move doesn't really surprise me. I was concerned that he may be offered a higher ranking position such as a coordinators job with one of the rebuilding teams.
Washington seemed like a place he would fit in well. He was with them back in 2005 and has an amiable relationship with now head coach Mike Shanahan.
So to me, the move appears a matter of necessity. Keeping the core coaching staff together going [...]

The Bills 2009 draft class brought broken knees, league leading interceptions and several tackles. of course, almost all the players taken were defense, I wonder why?
Well, the Bills season is still not out of our heads after what was supposed to be a surprise playoff year with a busy off-season and a "win at all stakes" mentality. Of course, we know how this story ends right? I mean, I don't have to go through it and write about again, do I? Please say I don't.
